Good day steemians, it is another blissful day here in Nigeria,i bring to you all yet another topic of how to play the game of chess and the basics.Chess is one of the most popular games in the world,if you have not learned how to play there is still room for learning, Let's quickly look at how the game of chess is played.

# **STEP 1: How to position the chessboard**

<hr><hr>Starting the game the chessboard is set so that each player has either the white or black side.The players then arrange the chess pieces at the same time,The second row would contain the pawns,the rooks /castle go in the corners then we place the knights beside them,next is the bishop and the Queen who always follow a matching color and the king on the remaining square.<hr><hr>

# **STEP 2:How each piece are moved**

*NOTE THAT THE DIFFERENT PIECE MOVES DIFFERENTLY,THEY CAN'T MOVE THROUGH EACH OTHER PIECE EXCEPT FOR THE NIGHT THAT CAN JUMP OVER ANY PIECE*
