Another Hive Power-Up is here! It's almost like these come every month. I powered up. Did you? Let's explore my power-up a bit and see where that puts me on my Hive journey.

Just a reminder that Hive Power Up Day uses UTC time, so it started just a few minutes ago as of this posting. If you live in a time zone that is still in May, that may sound confusing. Check what these times are in your local time zone [on this conversion site](https://everytimezone.com/), or you can simply go to the [Hivebuzz page](https://hivebuzz.me/), login, and they will show you a countdown clock.

If you have at least 10 Hive that you can power-up, you will get a badge from doing so. If you are under level 70 then you might get some big rewards for powering-up as well, like a lot of Hive in delegations. Alas! I'm over level 70, so no rewards for me. But it's ok, I enjoy supporting the platform.

I powered-up 100 Hive. That puts me at 15,382.27. 

Another 100 power-up is kind of disappointing, but I powered-up about 500 a week or two ago so I didn't have much left to use today. I am still holding back a little to participate in HPUD every month, but I have embraced the idea of powering up a little everyday instead of saving it till the first. There is an advantage to keeping it liquid till the first, and that is it gives the option of swing trading to HBD and back in the event of any Hive pumps. But the disadvantage is that the Hive that is liquid is not actually being used, and this is the pro of powering up daily instead. Both ways are fine. I've just embraced the way of powering up daily as right for me. 

I don't know—I might change my mind later. But for now, I like this idea of daily powerups. Luckily there is also Hive Power-Up Month (HPUM) so we win regardless of which we choose. 

All that said, my daily power-ups combined with the 100 power-up today and my daily earnings have given me a HP increase of 1239.310 this past month. I'm not unhappy with that increase.

Growing stronger!! 

The price of Hive is still so low, I might buy more in the coming month. I'll have to see if I have any more underperforming investments that I can move to Hive.
