I believe... who knows! 😃 As one of my Zen teachers always said "There is no God and he is always with you". 

There is no old man on a throne looking down on us (I grew up in the States surrounded by that very literal view, so I know it well) but there is a lot beyond our comprehension and beyond our senses. What that might be... who knows! Something, nothing, you, me, Brahman, Jehovah. At any rate, I tend to follow the Buddha's advice and don't worry about it too much. After death I'll find out (maybe!); better to just be in the moment right now and not be too concerned about who runs the cosmos.

Seems that your Zen teachers made a contradicting statement here, if there is no God and how can He be always with you? 

I based my faith on facts what is written in the bible :)

haha yes, it is a contradicting statement, that's the point. ;) Without getting too into it, Zen denies dualism in all things. In this case, the spiritualist say we are spirits who temporarily live in a physical body, while the materialists say we are a physical body and there is no spiritual nonsense. Zen would say both are true and neither is. To pick one is to miss the point. As the heart sutra says: "form is emptiness and emptiness is form". 

It's a bit complex to get into, but basically Zen denies a dualist view of the world.
