https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/af/MichaelCrichton_2.jpg/330px-MichaelCrichton_2.jpg 最近在看Michael Crichton的小說，透過這次閱讀，我才開始認識這位偉大的作家。 維基百科是這麼介紹他的 >約翰·麥可·克萊頓，美國暢銷書作家、醫生、影視製片人、導演兼編劇。作品多為動作類型，科技成份濃厚，被冠以「科幻驚悚小說之父」的稱號。作品中大量的引用醫學科技新知，充份反應出他的醫學訓練與科學背景。他的書已被譯成36種語言，暢銷書幾乎本本被好萊塢搬上銀幕，在全世界擁有眾多的讀者和影迷。 他最為人知的作品，透過史蒂芬史匹柏導演的電影**侏儸紀公園**，成為這星球上人類認識恐龍最生動的想像。 我還記得當年我年輕的時候，是在西門町某戲院看這部片的，看的場次很晚，看完出來都凌晨一點了。看完離開戲院真的有從那恐龍島回到人間的感覺... 那真的是一部劃時代的作品，永遠在人類歷史上留名啊！ 由此觀之，麥可克萊頓先生真是影響好幾代人的偉大作者啊！這科幻驚悚小說之父的稱號，其中其實隱含了濃濃的人文關懷，關切科技"進步"為人類帶來的試煉，其實甚至在侏羅紀公園中也可以隱約感受到呢！ 可惜的是，人類至今還在科技至上論的氛圍裡，雖然不乏有識之士呼籲提倡反思，但隱然前方仍有很多挑戰啊~~~ 克萊頓先生已然仙逝，在他過世後，人工 智慧這些科技才開始真正熱門起來，想像他還在的話，會寫出多少作品呢？ 另外，他的醫學背景也令人關注。原來，他也是美國知名戲劇"急診室的春天"（ER）的編劇作者呢！這部戲劇我耳聞很久，但從沒真的看過，或許改天該來看看？ 我在小說前面的導讀才知道，ER寫成時間早於侏儸紀公園，而且有一段有趣的小故事：當年史匹柏決定跟克萊頓合作拍電影，其實是以ER為最初的合作目標，但導演隨口問克萊頓說最近忙些什麼，他回答說寫一些跟恐龍DNA有關的故事，結果史匹柏一聽大喜，決定改用這個主題，也造就了這部影史巨著的問世....  <sub>*pixabay*</sub> 這些故事讓我深深覺得，人類幾位偉大作家，就可以改變整個人類對於某些事物的看法，為好幾世代的人創造記憶與話題.... 而我們可能都不知道這些背景故事呢~~~~ 下次再來分享我看的是哪一本小說囉~~~~
