Facebook vs Google：企業願景比較

這兩天，臉書出現在台灣新聞，一方面又說亞洲資料中心落選（輸給新加坡），一方面又說可能近日內來台宣佈投資計畫... ([來源](https://udn.com/news/story/7238/3355246))，我其實對於臉書沒多大興趣... 我老是覺得Google或是Amazon，比較有競爭力一點...

於是我就想到，企業都會有一段關於企業長遠發展的宏圖願景，有點類似空話，但其實認真的企業，這部分也真的有可能是指導企業長期發展的大方向，或是激勵員工的精神力量... 我不禁想知道，臉書的企業願景是什麼？

於是我就找到了以下這一段，似乎沒有中文版本，相信各位都看得懂....

有沒有人覺得這一段話很空洞？不過，話說回來，企業願景很空洞也是蠻常見的。換個方式說好了，這段描述的願景，似乎不夠聚焦？似乎不夠具有想像空間？為什麼呢？因為基本上這裡描述的就是很多“平台類”的企業所要做的事不是嗎？甚至就是internet的本身啊！或許在十多年前，這段話是真的有價值的，因為當時要在網路上建立社群，可能沒那麼容易... 但是時至今日，"社群"（community）已經成為如此稀鬆平常的一件事，似乎，我感覺這段話有修正的必要了... 因為這段話，看不出，臉書百年大計是要怎麼為人類社會提供更好的價值啊！？

這樣批評是否失之公允呢？

讓我找找Google的.... 蠻可惡的，Google在地話做過頭了，我老是沒法找到英文的版本，但湊合一下看吧！中文版的Google願景：

哇！好簡單的一句話。但我覺得這句比臉書的那一段好多了。因為，光是“彙整全球資訊”，這幾個字就真的很難做到的，做到還得做好，真的是可以當成十年百年的大計啊！後面兩句，我也覺得挺牛的：“供大眾使用”以及“使人人受惠”，這兩個五字，都是不容易的事呢！<sub>（當然啦，這裡先不管他們真要做還是假要做，或是做得如何）</sub> 我甚至覺得，從“使人人受惠”這五字，都可以連接到運用區塊鏈的可能性呢！

所以，兩者一比，我就感覺高下立判。要是我投資股票只能根據企業願景描述，那我一定是選Google囉～～ 對於要認真經營企業的人來說，企業願景其實真的是在長期來說，蠻重要的一環，儘管平常可能看不出重要性（平常重要的是現金流啦，市場成長啦，負債啦等等）。

原本我也想找找Steemit的版本，但其實區塊鏈世界，企業概念是不太一樣的，不太具有可比性，所以就算了...

Facebook really delivers well to people what they need and that is to communicate with each other even for free like in our country they give free access to facebook but with certain limitations like you cannot view or play media but with messages they are free to access it @deanliu

While Google is a formidable force with its team of developers looking for more ways to develop their platform.

But the two are also under the US govt control so it is dangerous and we have to be cautious.
