Hey lovelies β€οΈ It's your favorite girl @debbie-ese π Welcome to my blog π€  <a href="https://www.freepik.com/free-photos-vectors/resignation-letter">source</a> **It was not one of the easiest decisions to make but I had to quit.** The decision to quit my job was really scary. It took several months for me to make the decision. I thought about so many things. I'm going to forfeit a steady monthly salary for a business I am not sure of the patronage yet. I thought of how I'm going to cope with paying bills until my new business is solid. In the end, I'm taking the bold steps, a risk which I'm sure is going to be fruitful. I'm grateful for the impact my previous job had in my life for the number of years I worked with them. But, I wanted something better for myself. The stress that come with the job does not reflect on the paycheck and I have missed out on so many life opportunities as a result of the job. I tend to be restricted from my phone from 7am to 5pm every day, for months and years. I do not get to talk to my significant other, parents and friends until late in the night because I'm stuck with work in the office and of course, the no phone usage rule. I do not have access to information about latest news and happenings in the world because I get home very tired and it is always difficult for me to start checking for updates on the internet. Now, I'm working towards pursuing my first love as a full-time fashion designer. I used to be a fashion designer before I got admitted into the University but I had to put it on hold due to my academics. After I graduated from school, I wanted to work with my certificates and I have been able to work in a couple of cooperate organizations. But, now I'm going to start with the business I have passion for eve though I know it's not going to be an easy task but I will definitely make it. I enrolled in a fashion school when I graduated from High School and since then I have been sewing for my friends, family and clients that I get through referrals. I could not expand my clientele at that time due to the fact that I was working from home and it was not full time - I had to prepare to go to the University Moving forward, it has been a while since I last did some serious sewing and I'm not also familiar with the trending style that ladies rock these days. So, I will be taking up at least two to three months training at a fashion school to brush up my knowledge and also get acquainted with how to source for fabrics, designs and manufacturing. While the training is going on I will be making plans towards getting my own Fashion House, then I will start my own business fully at the expiration of my training.
