There could be change of mood at any point in time and it can happen anywhere. Sometimes you'd wonder why someone you are talking and smiling with few seconds ago became so aggressive and hostile against you. That is a typical example of mood swing. The change of mood from a happy one to a depressing, angry or cold one. Mood swings is not restricted to gender or certain age groups, anyone can have mood swings irrespective of the fact that you're a young or old, introvert or extrovert and so on. I have mood swings too but I try as much as I can to snap off as soon as possible and not let it become an habitual thing. It could be harmful to one's mental health if mood swings get too much. Furthermore, mood swings could last for few hours, days, weeks. It is getting to depression if it passes few weeks or extends to months.
