I didn't know much about this movie but it looked like a fun crime film so I decided to give it a watch last night and it was worth it. The story is about a middle-aged man who isn't happy with his life and especially with his marriage and a young woman who is in a similar situation, an unhappy marriage, and the desire to begin an entirely new life someplace else.
These 2 individuals are lovers despite their big differences in age, they feel identified with each other thanks to their similar sense of misery, and they both are decided to abandon their spouses and escape together. Their only problem is that they don't have the money to fund their escape and their new life. This makes them feel trapped in their current situation.
They both have ordinary jobs which allow them to have normal lives but they need much more money and what's even more difficult is that they also need to keep everything hidden from their spouses. The old man's wife is just a regular old lady. The woman's husband is a completely different case. This guy has all the looks of a very aggressive and bossy man who isn't very bright.
His friends are just like him and they really seem to be the kind of people who tend to get involved in dirty stuff. None of them are wealthy so it is not like they are huge criminal lords, but they all probably have constant issues with the law. The crime in the films begins when the woman makes a discovery that could allow her and her lover to finally leave this life and escape together.
This would require them to participate in a crime that will be life-changing but not in the way they were expecting it to be. Their plan wasn't perfect and a horrible series of events was started with really tragic consequences.
As a crime story, this movie delivered what I was expecting. I knew it wasn't a masterpiece but it was very well produced, with good surprises and overall it was a very entertaining experience. If you are looking for a cool crime film this one is a good choice.

* A very dramatic moment at the end of the film was kind of expected, highly improbable to actually occur and it is so used in movies that it gets tiresome.
