Guess What I Did on Palm Sunday?
Well, I have to admit that I skipped my normal Friday workout for a couple of reasons. One, was my very sore back from my session last Monday. The other was the fact that I was out of town dealing with some work related items.

Nor did I go on Saturday since I was still wasn't feeling recovered enough from my back issue.

So, Sunday was the day I hit the gym again to continue with my How to Build a Classic Physique program. 

With that, the numbers...

front squat - 10x25 10x45 5x95 5x105 3x115 3x125 5x135 5x145 5x150 5x135

No new marks with this. Because this is the exercise on which I tweaked my back last Monday, I settled for 135, 145, 150 sequence as my weights for the day with a drop set at the end.

Glad to say that my back was good and my form was solid, too. While this is a very uncomfortable exercise due to the bar being jammed into the bottom of the throat area, it's tremendous for the quads, glutes and obliques.

overhead press - 5x45 3x95 1x105 5x115 2x5x116.25 4x95

I wouldn't give this a new mark either; close but not close enough. I had a rep at 115 where I let my form slip where my butt shot backward during the pressing up motion. This results in a bowed back and some pain in the middle of my back. Other than that I held my core firm.

pull ups - 3x5x31.25

Now, this is a new mark. That micro loading is very handy.

forward lunges - 3x10x80

While this is a good one for the glutes and hammies, it also really works the obliques. Keeping my torso vertical as I step forward with 80 lbs on my shoulders really makes my core remain locked and loaded...and sore afterward.

Given my Sunday workout I expect the remaining 2 sessions for the week to take place on Tuesday and Thursday.
