If you're visiting Myanmar, here is a place not to be missed!
I visited this place after a long 15 hour ferry ride across the Ayeyarwady River from Mandalay and it was one of the most beautiful places I had visited during my time in Myanmar.

Thousands of such pagodas create an almost surreal atmosphere in Bagan. This shot was taken during sunrise at around 6 AM from atop one of the pagodas near my hotel in Old Bagan.

In Bagan, you can either choose to stay in Old Bagan or Nyaung U. Old Bagan is where you will find fascinating views among the ancient pagodas and beautiful resorts- this is a good option if you're traveling as a couple.  Nyaung U is a better place to stay if you are looking for a more vibrant place with a variety of accommodation options as well as food joints.
