As human beings we always have troubles and difficulties, some are small and some are big. We constantly try to avoid distress in our life, but nevertheless the trouble somehow always finds us, no matter how hard we try to avoid it.
Most of the time the difficulties that we face in our lives are almost always temporary. Some times We value some of the silly things as if they are our very life and soul. When the time goes by, there will come a time when the very thing that we once thought to be very valuable is not much of a value any more.
### Example:
When we were kids, we may have loved our toys so much, that if someone had tried to take them away, we would feel like our very soul is being snatched away from us. We cry and cry and even stop eating food until our toys are returned, or the new ones are bought.
> "In this world, change is the only thing that never changes, for everything else there is change."
Everything in this world is ever changing. Just like seasons, Happiness and Distress appear and disappear again and again. Just like distress finds its way towards us although we don't ask for it. Similarly Happiness also will come our way in the due course of time. Again they will disappear just like the setting sun. We all have experienced this time and again.
Any kind of situation, good or bad does change for sure as the time goes by. The situations that forces one to suicide will disappear in the due course of time and even the memories of those situations will slowly fade away from our minds. Many happy and peaceful moments maybe waiting for us in the future.
Most of the people who commit suicide does not think about anything, they simple do it because in the heat of the moment, it feels like it can relieve their distress. They don't even think if the difficulty they are facing is even worthy of such decision.
### Examples:
* Committing suicide because of being dumped by Boyfriend/Girlfriend.
* Not scoring well in exams.
* Embarrassment in front of others etc..etc..
If you think about the above cases, It very well matches with the example I have given previously with the "Kids with toys". These cases are utterly silly.
Just think, 10 or 20 or 30 years from now(Day of Suicide), would it really matter, whether you got what you wanted?, for which you have even decided to end your life?. After that much time, anyone would have learnt so much in their life, and would have seen so many great things, that they would be laughing about their decision thinking how silly it was that they decided to kill themselves for such silly things.
Oh good people of the world! please read this carefully: The universe is so big, there are a great many galaxies and a great many No. of planets. Among them, the Earth is one. Within the earth there are a great many continents and oceans. Within those continents there are a great many countries, states, cities, towns, villages, etc..etc.. Within all of those places there are a great many living entities, among them almost all of them are distressed in one way or another. If all of them thought the same way about distress and decided to suicide themselves, then the whole universe would have already been devoid of life and have been empty.
There are a great many wonderful things in the world that are so spectacular, awesome, beautiful and flabbergasting. If someone thinks suicide is a good idea when in distress, then they are missing so so many a wonderful things that they could have seen, felt and enjoyed.
# Important reason why suicide should be avoided:
Apart from all of this, there is one more and most important reason why suicide is the most dangerous thing to do:
Sometimes we think the only way to get relief from distress is by committing suicide, thinking if we terminate ourselves, then all the troubles and difficulties associated with this life will end. Those who think like this normally have the idea that when you die, that is the end of it, no happiness, no sadness no.. nothing.. That is where these people are making a big and huge elephant mistake in their life.
## For Theist:
If you are a theist and commit suicide, you might be thinking that you would go to heaven, but instead what if you were sent to hell saying that suicide is a most punishable crime. Even if you were not sent to hell for committing suicide, still you may be sent there for some other reasons. Reasons which you might have nullified by staying alive and performing some good activities in your life.
## For Atheist:
For an argument's sake just imagine, what if there is an afterlife and what if it is even more worse than your current position.
> Any decision even whose odds of going wrong may be narrow, but if it ever has to go wrong and brings upon you a very dangerous situation, Such decisions are to be made wisely with utmost patience.
Consider the fact that the most of the world's population believes in some form of afterlife, do you really think that all of them are lunatics and unintelligent?
If you go to YouTube and search for the terms like "NDE"(Near Death Experience) and "remembering past life" you would see so many intriguing videos that will make you wonder about life and death. Some of NDE patients are even claiming that they were sent to hell for committing suicide. I'm not saying all of those videos are genuine, some or many of them might be fake, but don't you think at least one or two of those videos might be genuine? If they are, then aren't those who commit suicide making a big mistake?
# Situations where suicide(Self Sacrifice) is Optional:
Just like anything in existence is useful in one way or another for a good cause. Suicide in the form of sacrifice is also helpful in some situations.
### Examples:
* Giving one's own life to save someone else's.
* A soldier deliberately killing himself in order to prevent the enemy.
* To save oneself from being abused brutally which would bring death or hard to live life afterwards.
> It's a much advised for a person to think of, remember and pray to god while leaving one's body. If one does so, it is believed they never come back to the material realm again. but, go to the highest plane of existence with fully awakened consciousness
If you see the first two examples, you can understand that they are sacrifices than a suicide, sacrifices are always highly praised and only the bravest of persons can do such sacrifices. Even in their afterlife they will be highly praised.
As for the third example, the person is not killing himself/herself willingly, but is forced to do so under very severe circumstances which might have brought death, or hard to live life afterwards.
In situations such as these, giving up one's life is not considered a suicide, and as such they will not be liable for punishment even in their afterlife for such acts, which are done under extremely dire circumstances(but they might still be judged for their other actions) All of this can be understood by studying scriptures. Any life or death decisions that are made without proper intelligence and understanding is a very dangerous endeavor.
### Note:
> "If it helps: According to Eastern spiritual traditions, punishments in the afterlife though may be real, are not eternal. Just like the actions of sins are limited. So are the punishments for such sins(Any other interpretation would portray god as a merciless and guilty, which he is not). After the punishments are over, soul again takes birth in different forms of life according to the remaining karma after the punishments in hellish realms. Also sins generally are washed away by usual devotional practices in our day to day life. Extremely sinful people whose sins cannot be washed away by such regular devotional practices are said to be the ones who are sent to hell for rapid purification by direct punishment and take birth in animal and other forms of life(return to human life after such births). For other normal people who live normal lives, falling into hell is not that easy."
Souls reincarnate again and again until they attain liberation.
