Have to admit, I totally slacked off this weekend on the proper blog part of my post. I feel kinda’ bad that I let them go and didn’t go back and edit, but on the other hand, that meant I stayed pretty busy.
Been doing quite well on sleep the past couple days with nine hours and eight and a half hours respectively. I was up a bit later last night, though, and ended up about half an hour short for tonight. So far I don’t feel too tired or slow, so that’s a good sign.
Got tomorrow [today] off as well, should really try and get on some web work…we’ll see how it goes.
Wenche was off today for Labor Day as well, so we got another chance to head out for a #AutomaticWin! 💪 Four days in a row! 😀
Was an amazing morning to be out and about! Was a but cool to start off, but the sun felt really nice and there was a slight breeze. It would have been perfect if I could have focused on it rather than my chest. 😢

It rained overnight and the ground/grass was still really wet, so we decided to stick to the sidewalks. As we were walking through the little neighborhood there we saw a couple cranes. They started flapping their wings and walking toward us.
On the way back around we were on the side of the street they were on. They got a little aggro about how close we were, but not too bad, just a bit of yelling.
They really are HUGE birds!
I played a little bit of Oculus, but just put together a couple of the smaller Puzzling Places. Was a cool one, like part of an old monastery or something but the interior and a staircase going down to a second level…puzzling in 3D adds a whole new dimension. 😂🤓
Didn’t feel like wasting too much time playing, so did a couple and then headed out to putz in the garage.
We had some cardboard piled up and an old wicker chair to burn and I’d put on the dried wood I’d saved and cured since it was just taking up space in the garage and I don’t have a wood burner, so that was plenty enough to do a fire. Now with that stuff gone and all the steel out it’s starting to get pretty spacious in the garage again!
I went to the Model A Ford Club of America’s website and ordered the restoration guidelines and judging standards book. It’s like *the* book on fixing Model A’s, with pictures and everything! Should help me to identify all the parts that are all over and figure out where they go.
I guess the major news is that for the first time in nearly ten years I actually worked on the car. There’s all this gunky buildup all over the inside of the engine…thinking it’s mostly old oil and dirt, but concerned that there were some bits of rust in there.
Went in with dental tools and started scraping it off. Got it pretty well cleaned up in there; once I got the major crust off I sprayed some WD-40 in there and wiped it all down with a rag. Not too bad.
The major disappointment (although I shouldn’t be surprised) is when I took the air compressor and blew into the engine all kinds of shit started to fly out…bits of fabric and tons of sunflower seed pieces. Goddamn mice 🐁 been living *in* the engine. 😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬
So now, I basically **have** to take the engine completely apart, not because I want to replace the gaskets, but because I have no way to know if I’ve got all the crap out of there and how much damage they’ve done pissing and pooping in there.
One step forward, two steps back…but I started actually doing something with it, and I intend to keep going! Got my mid-life crisis car already sitting waiting, no extra money required to spend (except what I’m going to end up pouring into this car).
In the evening we had leftover smorgasbord and binged Lovesick on TV until a relatively late bedtime.

Not too much going on over on CryptoBrewmaster today. Just got one ingredient is all, having done two brews the last two days it’s probably going to be a while before I can do another one.

Likewise, not much going on in Rising Star either, just did a mission or two and that was about it. I’m back well above ten thousand Starbits, but hesitant to blow it all on one person card…the pickings are getting slim, though.

Played some Splinterlands in the evening while we were “watching” TV.
Not too bad today, some frustration, but I didn’t have to play for too long.
I did finally break up into Gold I with more than a week left to go in the season. As I come up against a stream of endless Yodin Zaku and Lord Anusholes, I’m sure I will regret it and probably get knocked down again.
I got Fire splinter for my quest today but changed it up and got Water again. Got the quest done in Gold I and actually got a card:

Got my stats for the last week. Definitely a lot of red this time. I’d expected it last week, but I guess I was still pretty active, but you can’t go from #DoubleDays every day to not and expect much else. It’s alright, though, been keeping fairly active considering how much pain I’ve been in the last week or so.
