A little before five the Sandman bailed on me and left me yet another two hours short.  I was about falling asleep sitting up in the afternoon today, but I had teaching in the evening (or so I thought) and so I fought through it.

Did the usual morning routine early and did some chores...did the dishes, took out the garbage, blah, blah.  I did my trading yesterday, so of course HIVE went even lower.  Had a couple of major spikes to the upside only to be instantly erased. 😰

Got to chatting for a while over in The Man Cave.  Raymondspeaks and Marky were having a discussion yesterday about the relationship between “scarcity” and “value.”  The argument was that scarcity in itself does not provide value, rather only use case does, just because you only make one of something doesn’t mean anything.

Turns out Ray thought that might be an interesting social experiment and actually created One Coin! 😂

If you make it, they will trade it!  Within a few hours it was sold out and trading ad begun.  I bought some at 200 HIVE, which doubled the price. 🤣

We all got Doged. 😝  It’s been fun to see it, though.

Although I was kind of dreading it, I did get out for a longer walk today, at least it was five kilometers, so it counts as a proper walk.

I put a special gel heel bandaid on, which helped slightly with the rubbing, but it still hurt badly, mostly because it was already aggravated, probably.  I tried to push through it, though, as that seems to be my only real option at this point.

Even more frustrating and disappointing is how comfortable they otherwise are!  They’re light and fit the width of my foot perfectly (which is hard to find); basically feel like wearing snug socks, which is fantastic!  I want them not to hurt me, though!!!! 😢

I spent most of the morning over on Discord, so it was later before I got out.  It warmed up nicely and was gorgeous out.

Afterward I played some more Division in the Xbox.  Got another story mission completed and popped like ten more gamerscore.  There’s lots of side missions and encounters and extra stuff, so mostly going for cheevos and doing as many of those as I can.

I discovered the Dark Zone, a whole new section of the game where it turns into a PvP sort of Call of Duty style game.  Kind of neat as it has an whole different set of items and level progression than the main game.

I’d thought that my Algebra students wanted to meet on video today, so I got all gussied up, even took a shower 😜, got everything all set up and running and then nobody showed up! 😭

I waited for fifteen minutes and ended up using the time to clean my blackboard and the cloth I use an eraser.  Not quite as much moving around as teaching would have been, but it did put me up over my average for the day. 🤩

That meant I had like a half an hour extra to play Xbox before Wenche was done with working, so I got another collectible or two and then shut it down for the night.

I was good to go on my steps, so just played my Splinterlands quest and then laid down and watched part of a movie I can’t remember. 😴

Yet another quiet day in my dCity. 😁  I’m up over 1500 SIM now, so getting close to maybe even getting another brewery, still thinking about it.

Still able to defend my position, but would really like some good archer items to be able to advance, although there isn’t all that far to go!

My Splinterlands quest was Life splinter for the third day in a row, which was stupid, so I immediately changed it up and got Death splinter instead.

Yet another day of getting absolutely nowhere but angry.  Seems like I’m constantly getting set against opponents 300-400 above me with like massive all gold teams.  😡

Got the quest done in Diamond II with a potion.  Only have enough DEC for one more day...it’s hardly worth playing with five extra chances, without seems entirely pointless.

Thinking a lot more about looking into leasing out the cards.  I might still be able to get some value out of my investment without the pain and suffering.

Got a couple cards and an Untamed pack, and was able to get the Captain’s Ghost leveled up one more level:
