Adegbenro Adekunle Oluwarotimi is the name my parents gave to me. I know, the name is long like the Nile river, right? Just call to me Deks to make it easier😌, I was born and brought up in Agege in the city of Lagos,Nigeria. I’m a native of Ogun state and Edo blood also runs through my veins(thanks to my mom). I’m the only child of my mother, second child of my father and also a recent graduate of Animal production and Health from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)

Why Animal Production and Health? You may  Well, it's part of the life choices I made based on impulses...

#### Quick backstory…

I didn't know what to input for my JAMB as I was confused about my career choices unlike some people that already know what they want(I really envy those people) I think I was confused because I was interested in many things at the same time, I'm one of those people who is fairly good at most things and ends up not really fitting into a certain category. So, I stumbled upon my report cards and in the process of going through them, I realized I did pretty well in Agriculture.

Oh! *’Agriculture must be my calling!’* I thought to myself. It seemed like a good idea, and the fact that I love animals very much was more a confirmation. I was like; yes!, it is settled, *na Agriculture I go do*(please don't be like me though😢) 

Do I regret making such a choice though? No,I do not. I honestly do not know how my life would've turned out if I had chosen something else or another school. How would I have met the wonderful friends turned family I’m surrounded with at the moment? Most importantly, how would I have met the amazing and selfless soul who introduced me to this platform

Who am I,really? As simple as that question might seem, it's still one of the most difficult questions for me to answer. I can only describe myself as an individual still on his journey of self discovery, confused about life and the complexities therein. A young lad who's yet to have anything figured out yet, but who really has anything figured out though?🤷‍♂️ So, I guess I’m pretty normal.

I'm a huge lover of music because it serves as my escape from the hullabaloos of life. I shut the world out when my airpods are plugged in. I’m not so picky when it comes to music genres. If the music is good I’ll listen to it but sadly, I don't play any instruments. 

Sports is another important part of my life, football being at the summit of it. I’m a huge football fan and representing the only club worthy of my support in Manchester, Manchester United (If you can recommend any football community, I will really appreciate it). Apart from football, track, boxing and basketball are also sports I enjoy watching.

My alone time is of utmost importance to me. I don’t know if this is as a result of being the only child and literally being left alone most of the times while growing up. Well, I think I got used to that lifestyle and now I savor the peace and clarity it brings. Let’s be honest, conversations and social interactions with some people can be draining and taking some time to recharge is not a bad idea. During my time alone I tend to read books on self improvement, history, philosophy and psychology (Chill, I am not that serious). Journaling along side meditation is also something I enjoy doing, the calmness I feel after this exercise is truly phenomenal and I highly recommend.

Another thing I do is have conversations in my head( I’m guessing we all do this right? So I don't come off as weird🌚). My alone time is not complete without movies, I love to laugh which explains why I prefer movies that are full of humor. I’m really big on comedy related movies, I enjoy a little Science fiction too but I prefer thrillers and horror movies to it(don't judge me😅, we all need little jump scares to get our hearts racing sometimes).

Arts and crafts is also something I find calming. I draw occasionally draw when I feel anxious and need to calm down.

<center>**PERCEPTIONS OF ME**</center>

Different people have diverse interpretations of who I am as a person. Some would say I'm a good, jovial individual while others might describe me as bad egotistic scum. I might be a friend to some and a nemesis to another. I’m not really particular about labels and everyone is entitled to have their various opinions about anyone. 

However I like to see myself as someone trying his best to be 
of good character, impactful, have a lasting positive impression on the minds of others and also be the best possible version of himself. I can be extremely introverted and at the same time extroverted (I can be the life of the party) thus ambivert would be the perfect word to describe me, the version of myself I choose to be depends on my mood and the energy I get from my surroundings at that very moment. 

Because friendship is a very sensitive thing to me, I have a very small circle of friends and those I call my friends are more like family at this point. I take my time to get to know people which might be as a result of me not easily trusting others, I enjoy having deep, profound and meaningful conversations where I can learn from people. I’m naturally curious and want to know a whole lot about a menagerie of things, hence why I like to involve myself in quite a lot of things. I get bored easily though, and it's the major reason why I find it hard to commit to something for a long time.

I trade the foreign exchange market FOREX(I have a very toxic relationship with this) and it's actually the longest thing I’ve committed to despite the downs I’ve faced in this field , but that's a story for another day), asides that I’ve also dabbled in photography, tailoring (which hopefully I get back to because I love fashion), I tried coding for a while too and of course I couldn’t commit (Jesus take the wheel😅), I hope I don’t end up being the man who knows little about a lot and eventually not stick to anything (God abeg I don’t want to be a knowledgeable broke man).

Travelling is something I would really love to do, seeing different places, exploring different cultures, trying different cuisines and also meeting different people from different parts of the world, that would truly be an experience worth etching on the fine surface of my memories, the body is willing to travel however my account bank balance is saying "Dey play" 😅 at this point even my savings needs saving. Mexico and Spain tops the lists of countries I would love to visit, their language, culture and traditions really fascinates me , maybe their women too 😉*wink*, for someone who likes the idea of travelling though, I haven’t really visited a lot of places not even in this country (Sapa nice one), hopefully I get to do that in the coming years because this is one of my biggest goals.
