Ah, you are right. I checked some of the top community tags and found them lower than 'spanish', but that one is higher at least.

Spanish speakers are a huge potential market for Hive. Venezuela may still be one of the main user hubs. I know some people think users there are too desperate and that they have schemes to milk rewards, but Hive needs users. As it grows then the rewards will get spread wider.

There may be more English posts and comments, but people wouldn't specifically tag those.

People complaining about Hive going to Venezuelans are crazy IMO. Venezuela is *exactly* where we want Hive/HBD to take off. It is an authoritarian state with high internet access, low banking access, low access to online purchases, high risk of censorship. It's where sound, useful money is needed most, yet not desperately impoverished (eg. Zimbabwe), the perfect place to build a network effect. The fact that some portion of the inflation goes there and gets sold for local currency - is just a small cost of business.

Some people there stand to benefit a lot more from it than someone like me. I wonder if there is a local market that trades directly in HIVE for goods. El Salvador may be legitimising Bitcoin, but it's fairly crap for small transactions.
