As soon as the bear market comes and the price comes down we all know that many people's will stop working. The way the market seems to be going right now, we're going to see a lot of new people coming on this project of that as well. 

The most important retention attribute in real life is stability. So, over time if everything is rock solid, retention is going to be going always up. No matter what people do or say.

That's the nature of humans... they go with what's more "stable and adopted"... at least until another disruption creates the same values... in a different scope.

saving in $hive is the best option we should opt for and make sure we have a better future. And the greater the acceptance, surely the more users will be interested in entering and contributing.

I think this bear market has been somewhat different from the ones we previously have plus I believe community initiative might have gotten better overtime. It's pleasing to see that we're improving on that retention front.

I am one of those people who never used to be active but I am now active. 
I know so many people who are being active on Hive everyday and it is nice 

We are losing far too many people really. I'm sure some are disappointed in their earnings, but we can support those we see who put out good content. I know some get driven away for what is considered to be abuse of the platform, even if it may not have been intentional. Those who have a bad experience will tell others about it.

The number of active users on the #Britlist dropped a fair bit compared with last month. That was disappointing and I can't account for all of them.

Interesting stats. The bear market has been rough on all platforms as far as users are concerned. Since I have been working some offline jobs, I have tried to talk about Hive but when I get to the crypto and blockchain part, people seem to just cut off. The FUD narratives out there are winning in the public eye, which is giving a black eye to the industry as a whole. We can get through it though. Hive is unique and has an entire economy being built around it, including e-commerce and more. It's more than just posting and curating. When people can finally see what we are trying to build instead of worrying about their own gains, it will be game on!

User retention on Hive appears to be improving. The platform has seen an increase in daily active users, engagement on posts and comments, and increased numbers of token holders and transactions. As Hive continues to build new features and launch marketing campaigns, user retention is likely to continue to improve. 

I remember using Sql back then in checking the data but now forgot to do it 
anymore. 

Glad that we are improving with or retention rate here kudos to everyone who's keep on pushing for more retention attempts and programs to the new guys. 

As someone who does the auditing and review for the small community of ours knowing this can be beneficial as well so that I can at the very least compare the numbers and see our pain points. Thank you Demotruk for this information. 

The problem of user retention is not in the user interface. The problem is that people are accustomed to abuse, steal someone else's content, copy ... And not everyone knows that this cannot be done (copiast, copying ...). Many simply do not understand this. Therefore, some other approach to such users is needed. Otherwise, we will build up a large audience for another 10-20 years.
