I have just started a new semester in school and my business has picked up as well which has made my free time decrease significantly. Because of this I am not able to run the Deranged Photography twice a week anymore.

For those of you that have run contests or curated here on the platform, you know how time consuming it can become, between coming up with the new ideas, creating each post, judging, paying the winners, etc... I think I had been spending about 6-8 hours a week running the two seperate themes each week and I am not able to fit that into my schedule anymore.

So for the time being, I will be releasing 1 theme a week and it will be announced on Fridays and it will as normal. I will be posting the winners of the contest on Thursday evening or Friday morning. Everything else will remain the same as far as the tier structure and the winner's payout.

I did not want to stop the contest all together during this semester of schooling because I have a great time looking at all of your entries and I get a lot of inspiration from all of your work. There are also a lot of people around the world that compete in this competition that I know are just starting out on the platform or live in areas of the world where Steem is a good source of income and I did not want to take away their way of earning some reward here on the platform.

I apologize for the new changes, but I hope that you all understand the need for them right now. Thank you all for your understanding as I work through this extremely busy time in my life. I am looking forward to announcing the next theme on Friday and seeing more of your work.

The pro about this is that people have a little bit more time to send in their pictures and think about your theme. So we might see better and better pictures in time from everyone!

The truth is that I understand that making a contest requires time and dedication and you are very dedicated to this tremendous contest. Anyway, you have to dedicate time to the family, which is very important and to the personal preparation that is very good to become educated in the studies. We hope to see the contest even if it takes time to give the results, we will understand.

With the amount of content that steemit has to offer to us daily, I always thought that it would've been a much better idea to run the contest once a week. Well, it's happening here organically, so I'm kind of in favor of having it run once a week!

Recognizing your limits isn’t always easy, yet reducing your requisite time commitment means you’ll have more presence and attention to give the one theme you *do* continue to run each week. ⭐️ That said — *you know I’m here if you ever need a lil help...* 🦋
