<center>  </center> <div class=text-justify> # <center>Almost ran it over</center> <center></center> I just got finished mowing my lawn for the last time this year. The cold is quickly coming and with that, my lawn goes into hibernation mode for the winter. <center>  </center> I usually have these types of mushrooms in the backyard and every now and then, I think my husky eats one and is sick for the rest of the day. He either is eating these mushrooms or he is getting a hold of a bird and getting sick from that. <center>  </center> It has been a while since I have had any of the mushrooms I grew earlier. I usually have a microdose every few days or so, but life has been kind of crazy lately and I haven't remembered to make me a drink with my magic mushroom powder in it. <center>  </center> I am sure that this little guy would probably just make me sick if I ate it. It would be cool to learn more about the different types of mushrooms that grow here in my area. One of my friends always goes hunting for shrooms when he is hiking and he has found some pretty cool ones and some that can make you pretty sick if you eat them. Mushrooms are such weird things and it is crazy how fast they can shoot up. I remember when I was growing them, I had mushrooms that I was picking for like 2 days straight and it was horrible, lol. But I had a great time growing them and I think I am going to have to order some more spores so I can try some of the different magic mushroom strains out there. Too bad they taste like crap to me now and makes my chin quiver whenever I have some. </div>

I think that's what's known as a "Shaggy Mane" or "Shaggy Ink Cap,"* depending on where in the world you find yourself. IF that's what it is (and I would have to see it in person), it's edible (and pretty decent) when it's *very* young; before the "hat" opens and you can see the gills underneath. Interesting side trivia: If you leave it growing long enough, the gills become kind of black and gooey, and they literally *were* squished and used as ink/dye in the 1700's and 1800's. In general, we stay pretty cautious with 'shrooms. As the say goes... *"ALL mushrooms are edible... some of them only ONCE!"* =^..^=

Nice find :). This is a mushroom from Coprinus family - probably Coprinus comatus, most popular... Fully edible when YOUNG and WHITE - in this form would make You feel sick probably or it would be just not the most tasty thing You tried ;). When it is getting black from the bottom - not a much of use for us ;)... but still looks good on pictures.

I think it is a Shaggy Ink Cap mushroom, and if so you can eat it. But mushroom are so easy to mis identify, so i would say no, unless you have someone next to you who is 100% sure. They are pretty awesome looking mushrooms though xxx
