[I shared this photo from Iceland a couple of days ago](https://steemit.com/photofeed/@derekkind/reflections-of-an-icelandic-water-rock) and talked about how I wasn't completely happy with it. It can't be re-shot, but I look forward to seeing how you guys edit this photo differently to me!

Here is my version. The most difficult part for me was to figure out if this should be cropped and how. In 3:2 it works quite good but I like it a little better in 16:9 ratio.

Here is my edit. What do I like about this photo is the light on the mountains. It is absolutely beautiful! What I hate about this photo is a big boulder right in the central vertical. So my intention was to focus the viewer's attention on the mountains and make the boulder less dominant. The right part of the photo doesn't important to my taste. So I cropped 2:3, made a boulder smaller and moved it a bit to the right. Also, I removed some little distractors in the water.

Hey! It is just my point of view. You are the artist! ;) Maybe this boulder meant a lot for you.
And sometimes it could be hard to move a camera as you want on location. I don't know, maybe left to you was another big boulder or deep water

I'm picking your photo as the winner for #FixItFriday!!!

It was a hard choice, but I'll tell you why yours stood out. I liked the square crop that you and a few people went for - I think it helps to balance the image. I also like the colors: the yellow sunlight on the mountain was tricky to deal with, and I think it's better here that you just minimized the color and went for soft blues. Finally, you did a good job of flattening the contrast without the whole image looking flat (that rock is just so much darker than the rest of the scene).

It was a really tricky photo to process this time, and I hope you enjoyed the challenge! Congratulations on the win! :)

Thank you, I'm really glad you liked my edit. It was a tricky one to process, but that just made it more rewarding and I was very pleased with the final result.

I used the the 'Adjustment Brush' in Lightroom to balance out the exposure on the rock. I thought it was such a nice composition with a square crop, I just tried to make it look as clean as possible.

Apparently, the water was too cold for the unicorn this time, but it was enjoying the sunset and the cinematic colors.
