Today I want to express an emotion through makeup, I want to show the **sadness** through this performance...*  Siento que han sido semanas difíciles, soy muy sensible, la tristeza viene por varias causas y se afianzan por la energía que está en el ambiente, vivo cerca de un espacio donde hubo una tragedia, este fin de semana con las fuertes lluvias, falleció mucha gente ya que de la montaña bajó mucha agua, los ríos pasaron con gran fuerza y arrazaron, se han perdido la vida de incontable seres; curiosamente yo estuve tres noches seguidas despertando con extrañas pesadillas, me despertaba llorando, luego de ese acontecimiento trágico, las emociones tuvieron mayor sentido. Además de visiones extrañas que he tenido, con grandes ríos de agua sucia que van cayendo. Yo estaba conectando con esas energías tan feas. *I feel that these have been difficult weeks, I am very sensitive, sadness comes from various causes and are strengthened by the energy that is in the environment, I live near a place where there was a tragedy, this weekend with heavy rains, many people died because the mountain came down a lot of water, the rivers passed with great force and swept, the lives of countless beings have been lost; curiously I was three nights in a row waking up with strange nightmares, I woke up crying, after that tragic event, the emotions made more sense. Me puse a pensar en que la tristeza siempre está ahí para enseñarnos, para hacernos tan pero tan vulnerables, poco he retratado en arte acerca de esas emociones "negativas" pero tan válidas, es necesario vivir el luto, sentir y aceptar las emociones... También pensé mientras me maquillaba en lo que me ha ocasionado tristezas, traiciones, romper relaciones amorosas o con familiares, también con amigos, hasta pensé en la tristeza que me da cada vez que voy a menstruar. Algo que he aprendido en terapia es que siempre hay que prestar atención a lo que sentimos, no ignorar las emociones, no retraernos, no aguantar con los dolores dentro de nosotros, hiriendo, dañando nuestra esencia... *... I started thinking about how sadness is always there to teach us, to make us so but so vulnerable, little I have portrayed in art about those "negative" emotions but so valid, it is necessary to live the mourning, feel and accept the emotions.... I also thought while I was doing my make-up about what has caused me sadness, betrayals, breaking love relationships or relationships with family, also with friends, I even thought about the sadness I feel every time I'm going to menstruate. Something I have learned in therapy is that we must always pay attention to what we feel, not to ignore our emotions, not to withdraw, not to endure with the pains inside us, hurting, damaging our essence... *  # <center> Proceso del maquillaje </center> <center> **Makeup process** </center> Antes de maquillarme, cepillé mi cabello de tal forma que pareciera espelucado, simbolizando el "desorden" que se puede tener en los pensamientos cuando se está muy triste. También lo que uno como persona se llega a descuidar en su físico cuando no se tienen ganas de hacer nada. >Before putting on my make-up, I brushed my hair so that it looked like spiked hair, symbolizing the "disorder" one can have in one's thoughts when one is very sad. Also what one as a person gets to neglect in one's physique when one doesn't feel like doing anything.  Elegí el color blanco como fondo, ya que es muy amplio y quería simbolizar a través de ese color la fragilidad, vulnerabilidad que se siente a través de la tristeza. >I chose white as the background color, as it is very wide and I wanted to symbolize through that color the fragility, vulnerability that is felt through sadness.  Cubrí todo mi rostro con esa pintura blanca. >I covered my whole face with that white paint.  Después con ayuda de una brocha, hice una forma triste en las sombras, además marqué una expresión fuerte en los párpados, ambas con sombra negra. >Then with the help of a brush, I made a sad shape on the shadows, and I also made a strong expression on the eyelids, both with black shadow.  Después con una sombra de color cobre hice unas sutiles líneas de expresión, además marcando las ojeras. >Then with a copper-colored shadow I made some subtle expression lines, as well as marking the dark circles under the eyes.   A partir de ahí marqué con delineador negro las cejas, además hice curvas a través del rostro... Con color blanco. >From there I marked the eyebrows with black eyeliner, plus I made curves through the face... With white color.   Todas las líneas curvas simbolizan cómo se va construyendo todo lo que rodea a la tristeza, las emociones van y vienen, algunas veces se está tan triste que hasta cierto punto no se siente nada. >All the curved lines symbolize how everything around sadness is built up, emotions come and go, sometimes you are so sad that to some extent you don't feel anything.   En mi la tristeza se refleja desde el pecho hasta la mente. >In me, sadness is reflected from my chest to my mind.  Los bordes blancos los profundicé con dimensión negra. >I deepened the white edges with black dimension.  Arreglé ciertos detalles y así finalicé el maquillaje. >I fixed some details and finished the make-up.  # <center> Maquillaje finalizado </center> <center> **Finished makeup** </center> A veces me invade la tristeza, antes sufrí de depresión, muchos años de dolor que he ido trabajando, reconociendo y mejorando en mi día a día. Con ayuda de seres que me aman y me ayudan siempre. *Sometimes sadness invades me, before I suffered from depression, many years of pain that I have been working, recognizing and improving in my day to day.
