**Hello everyone!**

Hello dear members of weekend experiences community, I have to sincerely appreciate the founder of this community @galenkp for providing this community for me and you to share our weekend experiences. kudos to @galenkp the founder.
Wow! It was weekend again. I started having collections of weekend experiences on Friday.
Friday experience was a nice experience. We went for a burial ceremony in one of the villages in Akwa Ibom state. I was curious to get to the village because the village name “Ikpe Annang” is the name of one of the popular villages that hosted a lot of craft works in another Local Government Area “Essien Udim” in Akwa Ibom State. This village is so popular such that I never head of another village bearing that name.

The route to the burial venue was so unfamiliar though in a Local Government Area I’m familiar with. So getting to the venue was not easy. I endure the uneasiness of the road since I eagerly wanted to know the village. We have to be stopping by and asked for the route that leads to the village. alas! we finally get to the burial venue.

**The Burial Venue**

Getting to the burial ground people were well seated and burial activities was ongoing. What an exciting moment? upon our arrival we met a good kind of music played. The sound production was a good one and the players perfectly handled the strings. the drummer was so skillful in rolling the drums such that Children and adult were dancing and we couldn’t hold our peace than to join the line and dance as the players gave the best rhythm.

Sooner the corpse was committed to the mother earth. From the backyard was aroma of the food and meat well cooked and season. Many were salivating as everyone returned to their seat for entertainment.

**Merriment in Progress**

Band boys resume their music while entertainment and merriment continues.

It was now time for departure and every one journeys back home.
one funny thing about the place is that, unlike the other village that hosted craft work, they hosted one of the annang Ekpo culture display once in a year. 
On Saturday I went for a tour. Here are the images of the place.

This is an abandon access road construction that had become a cavern in this area. During rainy season like this in Nigeria the place is full of water from different running ways. The water that rushes to this cavern causes erosion that affected buildings and houses around this vicinity. 
Toad and frog have their habitats here. The cavern led to a stream where the hosted community members fetch their water.
The place was calm and cooled and one could enjoy walking about the place. The place look greenish as grasshoppers enjoyed the green pigments. But the fear is that snakes may likely live in this place. so I was a little scared and could not spent much of my time in this place rather return home to have fun with my family.
