No one needs to tell you that there must be a really huge difference between the way successful people and unsuccessful people think. You don't need a crystal ball, to know that there must be a reason for the disparity, for this massive gap in financial levels. It cannot all be because of what we see, what about the things we don't see. There must be factors that make some people very successful and others, the majority, unsuccessful.

I'm sure that the most successful person in your vicinity is not a twin brother or a relative to the most successful person in my vicinity. What am I trying to say? These successful people all around the globe, don't really have any common background. They don't even look alike, you see short successful people, you see tall successful people, you see fat, you see slim successful, they don't have the same traits. 

All successful people don't play football, or play basketball or are famous movie stars. They're all not from the same hometown or country or even continent. They're spread all around the world. But, there's only one thing that they all share in common, and that's the way they think.

The way a person thinks is the root, the very foundation, the core of their being. It's the kind of thoughts that you think, that will determine the kind of actions that you take. And it's the kind of actions that you take, that will ultimately determine the kind of results that you'll get at the end of the day. Hence, if you want to change a man, you must start from changing how the man thinks, because as the saying goes, thoughts are things.

Now, the question is what's the difference in the way successful and unsuccessful people think? Here's the answer, it's in the way they approach challenges. On one hand, the unsuccessful man thinks that "if I don't know this stuff, I won't even try it at all, I'm not going to disturb myself to find any solution to it". That's how the unsuccessful man thinks. If he sees a challenge, he runs away, even if deep down he knows that there may be a few steps to take in seeing if he can make it work. He just doesn't want to push himself.

The unsuccessful people, just hold on the past glories, things they've done in the past that were successful, they don't try to build upon that success, and before long, things go bad financially, because they did not improve themselves. They kept dwelling on past glories and did not take on new challenges to upgrade. Unsuccessful people don't take time to read more about that thing or that challenge, so they can find a way around it, they just give up before really trying out the possibilities.

I'm making this article a series, because, I have a lot more to share with you. And this is the first part out of two parts. In my next post, which will be the part two, I'll tell you of the way successful people think and how they approach challenges differently from the way unsuccessful people do.
