Takeaway: Authentic Indonesian Cakes (from 2 different places)

Hello, friends especially foodies!
3 days ago I accompanied mom to the hospital to meet the doctor but when we registered in the morning, we then found out that the doctor would arrive at 3pm and that was still around 9 am.

So we then decided to have breakfast like i shared to you in my article before (quick breakfast in the hospital) and after that, we bought some snacks in a small cake store in front of the canteen.

The price of the Indonesian cakes here was between 4-5k IDR, but some had higher prices too.

We only bought a sandwich which costed 13k IDR and a bakcang which costed 4k (weird of this cheap bakcang). So it was 17k IDR or around 1.15 USD.

The sandwich had egg, ham and also letucce inside. It had savory flavour. The bread was soft. It was ok, not too tasty but it was quite delicious.

The bakcang tasted so weird, no flavour with weirdly meat too, yuck!

And then we went to the supermarket near mom got her hair cut to buy some indonesian cakes we loved.

Buying some cakes: 2 bika ambon, 2 arem-arem, 1 gethuk, 1 sus, 3 pepe cake.. It costed 53k IDR or around 3.58 USD.

The taste of each of it:
Arem-arem had meat as the filling, had sweet, savory and a bit spicy flavour. Unfortunately it had too dry texture that day.

Gethuk was an indonesian cake, colour yellow and made from cassava. It ate with the coconut. The flavour was sweet and mom liked it.

Sus had vanilla vla filling. It had sweet vanilla flavour inside with the savory skin.

Pepe had the layers texture, coloured red white and green. It was soft, yummy and sweet with a bit of savory. My favorite Indonesian cake!

While bika ambon had soft texture with yellow colour. It had sweet flavour. Not the best i ever had but it was also not bad.
