Trying the Newest Japanese Restaurant

Hello, friends especially foodies!

Last saturday mom and i went to one of our favorite shopping center, there we passed one of the newest japanese restaurant.. tempted by their menus we then decided to go inside and had lunch there (although it wasn't lunch time yet).

The menu that the restaurant had were not many. It only sold various kind of ramen and also don. For the ramen they had shoyu ramen, spicy miso ramen, spicy mabo tofu ramen, niku ramen, miso ramen, yasai paitan ramen, tori paltan ramen and also spicy tantan ramen. For the don (bowls), they had gyu stamina don, gyu don, chicken katsu don, mabo katsu don, oyako don, spicy salmon poka don, chicken karaage cheese don, chicken teriyaki don and salmon teriyaki don. They also had mentai rice and soba. While side dishes, they had age gyoza, tori kowa chips, chicken katsu, miso soup, and chicken komiage. For the desserts and beverages they had matcha pudding, custard pudding, ocha, iced lemongrass tea, iced lemon tea, ramune, mineral water, cola and sprite. They also had variants of yakitori.

Here was a bit different than in other restaurants because we needed to order and pay before we could dine in there. What we paid for two portions of their niku ramen, a portion of age gyoza and a glass of hot ocha was 154,001 IDR or around 10.73 USD. They gave us the device which would beep and vibrate once our order finished, like in the food court you needed to then take the food yourselves.

While waiting i took some pictures around. Their dining room was quite large, new, clean, neat and cozy.

I love the interior, especially the fabric on their sofa (look behind mom).

There they also had the self service table to take their free flow ocha, chopsticks, spoons, chilli sauce and mayonaise sauce.

It took around 15-20 minutes of waiting then the food was well prepared one by one. The side dish then a ramen then another ramen. Both of us chose the same kind of ramen, niku ramen. We also bought age gyoza as the side dish. We still had a hot ocha, the cup was so big and single used paper made from.

Take a look closer at one by one food we ordered and then let's talk about the taste and flavour of them each.

First i would like to talk about their **Niku Ramen**. It actually beef ramen with shoyu based ramen soup. It had savory (even to savory flavour) with the authentic smell of sesame seed oil. It had many toppings such as soft sliced beef, japanese soft boiled egg, weird and too hard nori (seaweed) tempura with seaweed and some mushrooms too. The texture of the ramen was soft and chewy. Eventhough it was not the best we ever tasted but good think is i always could finish all the japanese ramen i have :).. Mom said this ramen was over priced and less tastier compare to her favorite chicken nagoya ramen.. well okay that's all about the taste, i said yeah this was too savory. They need to less the shoyu put there and also made a better texture of the nori tempura (softer, better) and that's all.

Then how about their side dish **Age Gyoza**?

The gyoza were fried so had crunchy not thick skin which was great. Inside they also had super tasty chicken filling with savory flavour. It also served with the mayonaise sauce which had sweet sour flavour and a bit chilli powder). It was great, and beyond our expectation!

Their hot ocha also tasted good with no sugar like it usually. The ocha tasted good and it was free flow.

The restaurant looks nice indeed and the ramen you had reminded me of something quite similar we have enjoyed some years ago on a trip overseas. I now suddenly crave for one, lol!
