Although i haven't used Quora myself I've been a big fan of r/askreddit and half of my 100k comment karma probably comes from there. That's why I sometimes like to create the #asksteemit posts. Good luck with this or teaming up with musing!

I posted 2 post last week on Quora after not using the site for 4 months. Then the next day I received an email that 8 of my answers was deleted! 

I plan not using this site anymore!

On a serious note - Last year I made an registered at quora and answered a few questions and in return a few of them were answered for me. I'll be truthful here, quora started to feel like an expensive hobby after a few days. You waste tons of time answering questions and for your efforts you get nothing...... literally

The more options the better.  When I am force fed a curated ideology it makes me feel dirty,  regardless of whether or not I agree about certain aspects of it.

I actually do that as well. There are great people with great comments. Sometimes I actualy wish we have more comments like in Quora here. Sometimes I wonder, why are these people still using Quora? Why aren’t they moving to steemit platform.

Had no idea musing.io was a thing. Going to check that out in a minute. I really like discovering those neat alternatives to certain existing, degrading centralised platforms. DTube was one I've been needing to upload something to and really test out.

This post will probably be downvoted and hidden by berniesanders because he seems to be having some fun downvoting all my posts and comments, so it's probably not worth upvoting this comment like you did the others.

Awesome piece Dan. I’m glad to see you’re making the change over to decentralized media. Our world is slowing being censored by those with power and we are taking back that power for a free and open internet where we can’t be censored.

I agree that slowly you can see that certain people are using it more and more of a marketing tool rather than giving honest answers. It's a shame you quit Quora though, as having someone who is honest and giving great. unbiased responses is what the platform is about.

I think a lot of us feel the same way about feeling Steemit is a safe haven, more people just continue to build even with low market values for the exact reason you said of “if you build they will come!!”

If you build it they will come! I read your intermittent fasting post on Quora over a year ago. I was like this dude is just like me, he tells how it is, likes crypto and intermittent fasting (been on it for 7 years)... I had to follow ya! 😂
