# Which way to go? 
#
This has been always the question whenever I get lost yet in another strange place. Life is like traveling to a foreign country for the first time, it can be full of joy, excitement, and surprises. If you don't know where to go, it can lead you to disappointment as well,  but still, you have to try. Embrace [the beauty of the unknown](https://steemit.com/travel/@diabolika/why-do-we-get-attracted-to-the-unknown-the-beauty-of-mystery) to see what the future holds. You will never know if the place is nice if you don't go there yourself. It is about taking chances while you can, and to never stop trying until you get to where you want to be. Recently, I wrote something about how [I'm older than I remember](https://steemit.com/travel/@diabolika/i-m-older-than-i-remember). I woke up suddenly feeling that this is all nothing but a dream. Quite funny isn't it? I felt like I got old quickly and how I just jumped from one big moment to another. I failed again and again, but I never stopped trying as long as I still have the chance to make the change in my life.

I got inspired by @wakeupsheeps' post - <b>[Reinventing One's Self Happens Multiple Times in Our Lifetimes](https://steemit.com/career/@wakeupsheeps/reinventing-one-s-self-happens-multiple-times-in-our-lifetimes)</b>. He wrote the different jobs he had starting when he was younger and how he recently lost his job of 13 years. He told me once that he was being greatly rewarded back then by Steemit as a talented new author. He continued writing a year later, and being a blogger is also one of those jobs on his list. He just enjoys writing.

<b>Here are some of the jobs I had or should I say, the choices I made in my life.</b> (_In chronological order_)

- Waitress
- Cashier
- Customer Service Rep
- Quality Assurance Analyst
- Reports Analyst
- Marketing Manager
- Travel Agent
- Freelancer
- Entrepreneur

So I had these jobs when I was still studying, and when I finished school. I also had some jobs when I was traveling and living in other countries. The last one seems like a final destination. I had to actually jump through hoops to arrive there, that [it is more about the journey than the destination](https://steemit.com/travel/@diabolika/when-it-is-about-the-journey-and-not-the-destination). Now I have to be sure of that myself and be strong enough not to be affected by negative influences and other barriers to achievement. Should I say, people around you, they can even be the ones close to you, _family and friends_.

Long-term travel is one of those big changes I had to make in my life. That time when I was confused with my career and relationship that I had to take a leap of faith to see what was in store for me. My trip surely opened doors to opportunities and gave me a lot of ideas, and I just had to choose which way to go. Given the choice overload in life, it can be daunting to choose as I am afraid of making the wrong choice and losing. However, I am more motivated by the right choice, and the only way to find out is to choose and go through it. 

Let go of fear.

It is surely different now, I might not be earning a lot of money by just working on [my own project](https://steemit.com/travel/@diabolika/journey-to-my-travel-and-tours-startup-new-beginnings-and-crowdfunding) and by writing,  but it has greater rewards in the future, especially if I work hard and put my heart and soul into it. I feel much better than ever. I have more free time to do the things I'm more passionate about. I have reached this sublime state in my life - peace and equilibrium. It is quite hard to express in words, it is an indescribable feeling that you will only know once you get there.

I choose my thoughts and not to remain in a negative emotional state, I can pour those into the present moment but I have to make sure I still come back to happiness and gratefulness at the end of the day. [What's not to be happy about?](https://steemit.com/travel/@diabolika/happiness-is) My life is simple now, I have a roof over my head, food, wifi, a loving cat, travel stories to share, and amazing nature around me. 

I made a big turn to this direction and I have no regrets. Life is about having the courage to make big changes, to live the kind of life you really want.
