Hello folks,

today I want to share with you how to use .srt subtitle file on your smart TV with the streaming function. I want to do so, because it actually took a while for me to figure it out, so I thought it was a nice move to share this info with you guys, in case someone will need it.

Subtitle are very useful in case of disabilities, and in case you wish to watch a show or a movie in a language different than your own.

It is very easy to finds an .srt subtitle files on line, for a wide variety of movies, and any kind of shows in all the possible language. One of my favourite site is https://subscene.com/.

I understood that almost all the brands have a similar path, but in the specific here I'm showing you how to do with an LG smart TV.

**Enable the subtitle option on your smart TV:**

1)click on the HOME button on your remote

2)on top right select the option icon

3)select "ALL SETTINGS"

4)click on "ACCESSIBILITY"

5)turn on the subtitle option

I'm using the official LG TV PLUS app on my ANDROID device to stream on my TV

Once you have downloaded the .srt file, be sure you will put it in the same folder where your movie file is, and RENAME IT EXACTLY AS YOUR movie file.
So if the movie file is like
```starwars_episode1_blueray.mp4```
the .srt file should be like
```starwars_episode1_blueray.srt```

After it you can stream your movie or show from your app, than with the remote, on the tv click on "ADDITIONAL OPTION"

Than select "SUBTITLE"

If the "SUBTITLE" option will be not available, most likely the video file, and the .srt file have a different name, else you will see something like this on the top of your screen

Now you can enjoy your movie with subtitles directly on your smart TV ;)
