Reflection Hunters Contest round 110 - my Entry "Reflections in the emperors arcades"

Hello friends of reflections!

My contribution to the Reflection Hunters Contest round 110 is a photo of the "Reflections in the emperors arcades" in the Melk Abbey, the largest monastery complex of the Austrian Baroque.

The 196 meters long so-called "Kaisergang" is located on the second floor of the monastery and is a real delight for the eyes. The incident light and the light reflections on the floor of the long corridor with the contrasting dark paintings on the wall create a special flair. The paintings show the portraits of the austrian rulers, beginning with Margrave Leopold I of Ostarrichi - as Österreich (Austria) was officially named at the time. All in all, Melk Abbey is a magnificent building in Lower Austria that houses a lot that is worth seeing and is therefore a great destination.

Hallo Freunde der Reflexionen!

Mein Beitrag zum Reflection Hunters Contest Runde 110 ist ein Foto der „Spiegelungen im Kaisergang“ im barocken Stift Melk, der größten Klosteranlage des österreichischen Barocks.

Der 196 Meter lange Arkadengang befindet sich im zweiten Obergeschoss des Stiftes und ist ein wahrer Augenschmaus. Das einfallende Licht und die Lichtreflexionen am Boden des langen Korridors mit den kontrastierenden dunklen Malereien an der Wand erzeugen ein besonderes Flair. Die Gemälde zeigen die Porträts der österreichischen Herrscher, beginnend mit Markgraf Leopold I. von Ostarrichi – wie Österreich damals offiziell hieß. Alles in allem ist das Stift Melk eine prachtvolle Anlage in Niederösterreich, die viel Sehenswertes beherbergt und ist somit ein tolles Ausflugsziel.
