Miren, yo amo las casualidades y esta canción para mí siempre debió existir en mi vida, por algo yo la cantaba tanto de pequeña y por algo me hacía llorar cada vez que la escuchaba, aunque no sabía lo que era el amor. Esta canción es la primera canción que mi mamá me mostró de Elvis, como cuando yo tenía 10 años y la amé al instante, fue como la primera canción que me hizo desear querer bailar un vals, deseo que aún no he cumplido, y cantarla muchas veces, hoy quiero hablarles de varios aspectos de esta canción mientras les explico que me hace sentir.

Decidí ponerles la letra para que sea más detallada mi explicación. Es una letra muy hermosa, simple y muy buena para adaptar o interpretar en diferentes contextos porque de verdad, la letra habla de cómo amamos muchísimo a una persona, al punto que no importa si parecemos tontos, no se pudo y no se quiso evitar simplemente decidimos enamorarnos y que le daremos todo a esa persona, mi mano de apoyo, mi vida entera si es necesario, le ofrecemos todo.

Esta canción esta en mi lista de “canciones peligrosas para dedicar” porque significa que, si yo la dedico, es porque esa persona me logra hacer sentir demasiadas cosas al punto de que llorar esta canción de felicidad. Ya se la dediqué a alguien en su momento, y aunque yo estoy soltera no me arrepiento nada por hacerlo, aunque sienta que no me corresponden la canción o no me la van corresponder más, igual no me arrepiento, ya entregue esa canción y ahora es de esa persona no hay ni habrá vuelta atrás para mí, estoy segura que no me arrepentiré nunca de haberlo hecho, porque, me hizo sentir la canción de verdad, logró que yo fluyera aún más en el mundo de este arte y me la llevaré en mi bolsillo musical para siempre así este sola por siempre, y también porque amé las diferentes interpretaciones que le puedo dar a la letra.

Mencioné al principio que siento que la letra es perfecta para ponerlas en varios contextos y es que acompáñenme a leer una vez más la letra y pónganse en el lugar de alguien enamorado que ya tiene a su persona escogida, esta canción es perfecta encaja con todo para dedicársela a su persona especial y darle el mensaje de que es la elegida, por siempre y para siempre, para mí la canción es perfecta para eso, pero también desde otro contexto la canción funciona. Cuando no es correspondido ese amor, la letra igual es para dedicarla a esa persona que te encantaría que te correspondiera, que te escuchara y también te dijera “te amo, todo por ti”.

Siento que esta última interpretación de la letra es bastante acertada por una frase de la canción que es mi favorita “Some things are meant to be”, con esa frase el ambiente de la canción puede cambiar por completo y puede ser el contexto contrario a tener al amor de tu vida contigo, puede ser transformado en que estas muy enamorado, pero “algunas cosas están destinadas a ser” y tal vez no estas destinada a esa persona.

I feel that this last interpretation of the lyrics is quite accurate because of a phrase in the song that is my favorite "Some things are meant to be", with that phrase the mood of the song can change completely and it can be the opposite context of having the love of your life with you, it can be transformed into you are very much in love, but "some things are meant to be" and maybe you are not meant for that person.

Toda mi vida siempre he querido cantar muy bien, pero el problema es mi confianza, al parecer de verdad tengo una voz que puede sorprender, pero por no confiar puedo apagarme un poco y hasta arruinar lo que estoy cantando, las veces que he visto clases de canto siempre me han recomendado conseguir canciones que me sienta bien cantándolas, que tenga tanta confianza que la pueda ensayar muchas veces y que me salga o me sienta bien escuchándome cantarla, Can’t help falling love fue la primera en lograr eso en mí, la canté muy pocas veces hasta que ya me dieron la oportunidad de presentarme de manera algo seguida en un parque de aquí de Venezuela llamado “Parque del este”, donde de verdad que sentía que cada vez que la cantaba me salía muy bien y por muchos motivos.

En la película al presentarnos a Priscila de verdad la presenta como el único verdadero amor de Elvis y por ello decidieron que Can’t help falling in love sería la canción que la definiría a ella, la relación con ella y Elvis. Cuando la conoce, cuando ella por primera vez lo ve en un escenario y se da cuenta si puede o no con el trato de Elvis hacia sus fanáticas también suena, cuando ellos tienen una pelea muy fuerte es mi favorita.

Priscila le reclama a Elvis que ya no son una familia, ya él no aparece nunca, entonces se va de la casa con su hija, pero entre todo igual le dice a Elvis que lo ama, aunque no se puede quedar con él, en ese momento deciden poner una versión **instrumental hermosa** de la canción, y la última vez que suena si es con voz y todo, que es la despedida que nos hacen en la película, donde ella le ruega a Elvis que se tome un descanso, tiene un lugar donde puede huir un momento y así luego volver a su obligación, Elvis no dice nada solo deja que se vaya pero le dice “I always love you” y empieza a sonar la canción, esa parte es arte pura, me hace llorar demasiado cada vez que la veo y la recuerdo, mientras se las estoy describiendo me está dando muchas ganas de llorar, es arte puro.
