Coffee and a Banoffee cake birthday treat

Well Hivers another year older and time for a bit of a treat at my favourite local coffee shop in Newton Abbot **The Wholesome Hippo**. As they went out of their way to find me a proper cup for my Cortado it’s only fair that I continue to drop in.

I do try to stop in a couple of times during the week so now all the staff know what I drink and as it was my birthday I thought I’d treat myself to a slice of cake too.

They always have a good selection of cakes and pastry’s along with a couple vegan/Gluten free options.

My choice was a very moist looking slice of Banoffee cake.

It certainly tasted as good as good as it looked and was very moist and really provided a great sugar rush to put a spring in my step and finish the walk home.
