Multiple companies have already let go of thousands altogether and there is expected to be more coming. <b>One recent PwC survey suggested that about half of US companies might be looking to cut jobs.</b> For those hybrid and remote workers as well, many of them won't be happy about being asked to go back to the office. When given the opportunity they would rather leave their job and look for something else, they want to continue working in that remote setup. And can you blame them? <b>Remote jobs are among the most highly coveted positions today.</b> There is a great deal of worry about the future of the economy and if or when inflation might get under control. Will there be a recession? Could that recession have been avoided? Why wasn't it avoided if it could have been? Who is to blame for any of the economic pain that millions are feeling these days? Rates might be increasing but that hasn't eased the concern just yet for the economy and it hasn't made prices in food and other daily goods and services decline either. This is going to be one of the most important issues for millions not just in the US but around the world, people want to regain hope for a better economic future and that might mean much of the public considers significant political changes as a result. If drastic changes do come about though, will those 'solutions' make things better? Or might they only set up an environment for something much worse? Looking to??? If i was running a large corporation, these jobs would have been cut last Christmas season. The writing was all over the wall. The only reason they are going to start laying off people now is to make everything worse. (well, that is the only reason i can think of) > Remote jobs are among the most highly coveted positions today. And only boomer bosses are so idiotic and set in there ways that they need to see their employees in the nearby cubicle. (or, again, these people are evil, and want to increase the level of pain) Future companies will do almost everything remotely. Big office building? Who needs that? Cheaper to rent a meeting hall when you need one... if you ever need one.
