We all are confronted with different things that might trigger us during the day, challenges to our personal preferences for instance, and these triggers might make it a little more difficult than normal to hold our words back or prevent ourselves from verbally or physically lashing out at another.

For some, their temperament might be very short and it might not take much to set them off. While for others, they might be much more patient and could sit for hours <b>listening to triggering nonsense</b> that wouldn't entice them to change their behavior any, for example. And for those who think they've got an extended amount of patience, that nothing could ever upset them, perhaps they've never been *tested fully just yet*.

# What might trigger someone? 
<center> </center> It could be anything. It might be loud music being played next door, the colors and designs on coffee cups, people not standing for anthems, hearing someone question the heroism of someone in uniform. It could be a dislike for certain luxury brands and winter coats, discontent over smelling smoke coming from someone's cigarette, or frustration over a car driving too slowly on the road in front of them etc. 

# You never know when, why, or what's going to offend and make people upset. 

<center> </center> We can use a little common sense here though, in assuming that blatant verbal attacks and insults for example, would <b>obviously</b> be upsetting to most people. We can try to avoid engaging in those actions if we don't want to upset our friends, family, co-workers, or complete strangers etc. But it's a slippery slope for triggering and it might be impossible for you to go your entire life being your true self and not <b>offending anyone</b> in the process.

## You can find thousands of videos online today, showing clips of people <b>losing their shit</b> for one reason or another. 
<center> </center> Food taking too long? Did they mess up your order? Did they tell you to stop talking on your phone in the restaurant? Were they out of an item on the menu that you wanted to order? Was someone parked in a disabled parking spot who shouldn't be?  

# Maybe you went into a Mexican restaurant to grab something to eat and got upset to see Spanish written on the menu inside? 
<center> </center> That's what happened to one man recently from California who went to <b>Palapas Tacos</b> in Anaheim and got upset, threatening to call immigration, over a Spanish phrase that was written on the restaurant menu that translated into “Friday Special”.

The [customer allegedly started yelling at the cashier in the restaurant](https://globalnews.ca/news/5103021/taco-restaurant-racist-rant-spanish-words-menu/), as well as other customers in line, about the confusion over the phrase on the sign. 

He was angry that it was Spanish and not English. “We're not in Mexico. We're in America” he said.

It's too bad he wasn't aware then that Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language in the country. The United States has the largest Spanish-speaking population outside of Mexico and California is one of a few states that also happens to give out bilingual legislation and official notices to those in the region. 

But even if you didn't know all that, it still might be safe to assume that you could be confronted with people speaking Spanish or menu items written in Spanish *if you are going to be visiting a Mexican restaurant establishment*. 

Life's too short to be getting upset about the words on restaurant signs; nothing is stopping you from cooking for yourself or choosing one of a myriad of other establishments that would be happy to serve you.
