There are many charity organizations out there today that are busy raising millions of dollars for one cause or another.
# But how effective are those charity organizations?
Might it be better to give money and supplies to people directly who need it?

# There are some charity organizations that will pay more for employee salaries than they will give away funds to people in their communities who need it.

It is unlikely that those who are giving to the charity are often aware of just how little of that donation gets to the people directly.

Could this be why so much is raised and yet there is still as much of a need from people who are suffering?

At least when you give to someone directly and in need you can be certain that the entire fund amount is given to them. It isn't spent on lease funding for property space, salaries, marketing etc, it is sent entirely to the person who needs it. Thankfully there are a number of ways to do this today with platforms that link those who are willing and ready to give with those who need it when they do. Charity fundraising can be incredibly effective at helping following natural disasters and for specific cases of need etc, making significant impacts and changes in the lives of many people around the world.

True

But still very thankful for the little I get at all
Even if it is very little, that could just decide about survival

Or else I would not have been able to survive
at all
With my permanent pain, homelessness, especially in the winter
In the past
