A recent national survey found that roughly [68 percent of Americans agree](https://www.forbes.com/sites/instituteforjustice/2020/12/02/reforming-licensing-is-something-americans-of-all-political-stripes-can-get-behind/?sh=69349e3532d1) that less government regulation for small businesses would be the best practice. Today there are thousands of regulations governing everything from how you cut your grass to whether or not you can open your first lemonade stand, a slow deterioration of individual liberty with each bill that endorses coercion between a peaceful exchange. 

Previous investigation has found that occupational licensing rules today are effectively keeping thousands of jobs out of the market. Who knows what products or services might have brought value to the lives of millions, but they were never given the permission to make it to market. Meanwhile, for thousands of other products and services that have, they've been responsible for the deaths of millions collectively. 

From Tide pods to Ikea furniture, there are a wide variety of everyday items that have brought danger to households across the country. 

# Just because the government *gives its stamp of approval on something in the market* doesn't mean you are getting the best price or the best quality that there is.
<center></center>And it doesn't mean that you are safe or that items won't cause harm, or be later recalled, or that mistakes haven't been made. It also doesn't mean that private methods couldn't establish similar or even better screening methods for discovering quality goods and services in the market. 


If anything, the coercion that the state inflicts upon individuals going about their everyday lives in the market, is keeping your standards lower than they would be otherwise, they are effectively keeping you down by pretending their coercion is <b>for our safety</b>. But we are not safe when our natural rights are violated, that should be elementary but today is quite argumentative to those who think <b>they know what is best</b> for the rest of us.
