A recent survey that included 1,924 tech workers from all over the U.S., found that many of them identify as moderate, not as left or right. [Only a small portion, 3 percent, identified as libertarian](https://www.fastcompany.com/90313045/politics-are-tearing-tech-companies-apart-says-new-survey). 
# About 45 percent of those who took part, almost half, said that they feel that their company promotes a certain <b>political agenda</b>.
<center></center>It was mostly those on the left that felt this way, about 48 percent of the respondents said they felt that their company had a clear <b>liberal agenda</b>, where only 38 percent felt that it had a conservative agenda.

Almost half of those employees who are working at tech companies that do feel push some sort of political agendas, said that they believe that those ideological views <b>impact their ability to work</b>. 

## 63 percent claimed that <b>facing ridicule in the workplace</b> is common if you dare to disagree with the consensus or a colleague. 

<center></center>Participants in the survey [came from a variety of tech companies](https://www.fastcompany.com/90313045/politics-are-tearing-tech-companies-apart-says-new-survey) including Microsoft, Intel, Google, Salesforce, Samsung, Twitter, Apple and others. Most of them, 75 percent, identified as male, and almost half were between the ages of 30 and 44 years old.

## One survey found that *[91 percent of employees](https://www.fastcompany.com/90313045/politics-are-tearing-tech-companies-apart-says-new-survey)* who work at companies that they describe as operating in a nonpolitical fashion, admit that they can work in peace.
<center></center>Increasingly we see that pressure is placed on companies to take a political or social stance on issues, but an overwhelming majority of individuals agree that those companies <b>should foster diversity of viewpoints</b> and not seek to establish one rigid ideological echo chamber.
