According to new a new research initiative, <b>*Informal Innovation: Entrepreneurship and Informal Communities*</b>, networking informally is said to be the most influential factor when it comes to trying to establish business success. The research consisted of a survey that looked at roughly 1,000 entrepreneurs from at least ten different cities that were located in Asia, Europe, and the US, and the investigation was sponsored by the Infocomm Media Development Authority.

It was found that more than half of the group took part in social networking groups that were business-oriented, using social media platforms like Facebook and others. For those located in New York, London, and Tel Aviv, it has been said that networking informally with others on these types of platforms, is the single most valuable source of support. A quarter or more of the survey respondents also reported that they take part in networking events that are organized by various business associations.

It's clear that those who are successful in business aren't afraid to seek out help from mentors and peers in order to try and improve their chances of business success. There are many regulatory hurdles that must be passed when starting any business, and for those who are new and unfamiliar with the territory, it can really help to speed things along if you seek out advice and information from others who have been through it before and who might be able to help. Couple that with difficulty in trying to secure financing, or a crushing fear of failure, and the road to business success can become a very difficult one.
