And you ask yourself, "Why does this word have a letter in the wrong place, why is this other letter missing, why did I not notice it?" I'll tell you a little bit about typos today.

We use the word "typo" to refer to typing errors. That is, errors that occur when typing on a keyboard (although they can also occur in manuscripts). This is one of the most common mistakes writers make, and a real nightmare for proofreaders.</p></div>

<h1>How can we avoid them?</h1>

<div class="text-justify"><p>Typically, writers work when ideas flow; and to avoid losing them, they type quickly. When this happens, they often make typos: letters that are left over, missing, in the wrong place, etc.

Here are some tips that can help you when writing, so that you can give the proofreader an improved text and not make him/her want to <b>stab his/her eyes </b> when correcting you.</p></div>

<li><div class="text-justify"><p>After writing, read the text <b>elaborately</b>.</div></li>

<li><div class="text-justify"><p>Read the text <b>aloud</b>: this is to identify more easily if there is a typo, because if there is one, reading aloud will automatically make you interrupt the reading when you see the error. This is because reading aloud takes a little more concentration. In addition, doing this will allow you to recognize spelling mistakes, especially missing punctuation marks due to pauses you make aloud.</div></li>

<li><div class="text-justify"><p>Read <b>letter by letter</b>: avoid reading the word in its entirety; if you don't read each letter carefully, your brain will automatically "complete" the word you are reading, and you won't see the error there. On the other hand, if you read letter by letter, you can easily detect an error that you would not have noticed before.</p></div></li> 

<li><div class="text-justify"><p>If you find it difficult to concentrate, <b>imagine that you're writing on paper</b>: in the moments when your concentration fails more and you cannot read carefully, visualize the word you are reading at that moment and imagine that you are writing it by hand, letter by letter.
