I never realized how being a resident of New Jersey that it would be so difficult to obtain the YES Network. One of the reasons appear to be because I went from cable television to streaming networks. I should come right out and say that I am a diehard Yankee fan. First off, I was born in the Bronx and would spend my Sundays at my Italian family's home watching Yankee baseball. In no way was I watching a team that was used to winning! Gene Michael would be a magician at shortstop with his hidden ball trick. Roy White was always good for a circus catch out in leftfield, sometimes making the catch look harder than it actually was. Horace Clarke was a fixture at second base. I remember Ron Blomberg not only being the very first designated hitter but also catching a ball in rightfield with his bare hands.
Phil Rizzuto was an absolute joy to listen to during the games. He was as much a fan as an announcer. His comments on watching some of the players attempt to bunt were hilarious. It was when the Yankees signed Catfish Hunter as a free agent and the era of The Boss began when the Yankees started getting back to their winning ways. However, a fan sticks by his team during the bad as well as the good. Thurman Munson was my all-time favorite player because of the 110% he gave on the field.
Anyway, I am talking about the YES Network. If you do a google search, you will find that fubo tv and hulu carry the YES Network, which I found not to be true. Since google posted this fact, they have both dropped YES. MLB TV blacks out games in our area because of YES. In addition, YES doesn't have their own streaming service. I am being very patient because the regular season hasn't begun yet. I spoke to a customer service representative at fubo tv and found out that they are trying to negotiate a return of the network. AT&T does have a package that includes YES, but regional sports networks only start with their Choice package. I currently have fubo tv and am willing to wait a little longer before I will be forced to switch streaming services again. I am anxious to see the pinstripes out on the field for a full season as opposed to last year's debacle!
