This is due to the competition from more people sprouting to get more coins. If you don't know what staking or sprouting is, it is the interest you receive for holding a coin in your wallet. </p> <p> The question is, is it worth purchasing more coins so you can receive the same amount of staking interests as before. It is not just the amount you get, but also the value it has. If you have followed this coin lately, when Bitcoin rose, the value of each bean cash coin has also risen. So it matters if rise of Bitcoin will make it worth holding this coin for staking. There are many forecast that does say Bitcoin eventually rise higher in price and even set new records. In this case, the higher value of the fewer coins sprouted will still make it worth while. However, I do think there is a balance. If the price does not keep up, there may be more who are tempted to trade this coin or short some of it. There is also the case, Bean Cash will have new markets that is interested and thus the demand will bring the price higher. </p> <p> At this point of the game, I think you have to look at the past history. It has gone from one major exchange Bittrex to two with UpBit and it gave a lift of the price. It also had some highs, but dropped back down. However, when it did go down, it's lows was higher than previous lows. For example if you look at the charts, last year, it was less 30 Satoshis one time. Then the next low was around 70 Satoshis. Now it usually doesn't dip too much lower than around 100 Satoshis. So if you look at the the progression, we may see 150 to 200 Satoshi lows by next year or sooner if some big news happen. </p> <p> I would say it is definitely worth holding some till at least the end of this year. I've been holding for about a month now. Sprouted twice in that time. My strategy seems to be inline with yours too. Holding the bulk of my Bean cash but keeping so on the exchange to play with in the hopes of building a big stock pile :)
