Will your Hive Keys be in your Will?

The current state of Earth has me wondering; how to ensure that my daughter gets all my crypto-keys in case the worst happens. I've been prepping her for about 4yrs. She knows she will get the keys, my question is how. Leave it in a will, a smart contract (possible best option) or are there specific services for this?

A locker room, where you can keep all your keys, documents, and anything that you want to hand over. I would create a detailed document too, which will help the receiver know about everything.

I've though about this before. At the moment i've a folder set up and secured to be handed over to a friend if anything happens to me. Nobody in my family would be even able to start with the spread of wallets and coins that I have accumulated over the years so it has to be somebody that can make use of if anything happened.

Since i am relatively young and the wallets aren't worth a huge amount for now i don't mind if my best friend benefits from my work here. That could change over the next few years with price increases and a change in life circumstances where i would need to have a better solution to pass the money onto my partner but it works for now. He is a crypto guy too so would be able to sort it out.

It would be good to have a service but I don't want to let anybody else have my keys so would it be possible to create a trust less handover?

To answer your question; I believe it can be done with multi-sig smart contracts (just not on Hive yet). ie In case the worse happens, it would take a notice (death, disability, power of attorney) to fire one end and the beneficiary/ies fire the other to execute the contract. 

Yeah, I've thought my 8yr old daughter how to use Bitcoin using a few Sats. She even posted on Steem once with my help. I’m not that old (37) but my worry is that we never know what may happen or when, the virus has put some emphasis as well. We may not have a significant amount in our wallets now , but it can and will grow in value by the time she is college bound. 

It's possible kids accounts/contracts in which they can only access thr funds after a certain date/age and only sign-able by them.

Still relies on trust. But what happens if they are unable to fulfill it for many reasons? I think legally binding the info in a will or locking it in a multi-sig smart contract with contingencies would remove the trust requirement (or most of it)

I've heard about Safe Haven (https://safehaven.io). It is supposed to be developing solutions for such scenarios... it's chart isn't pretty, though. Maybe the markets don't believe in it?

That sucks when such a helpful service is subject to speculation. If their service is effective it shouldn't matter what the market price is, many will need it (or similar) to transfer wealth in the future. Thanks bro, gonna take a look
