Exactly 12 days ago, @dapplovers in collaboration with @oracle-d launched a contest asking users to  Review a Finance DApp listed on the  State Of The DApps platform. They clearly stated the contest rules on the announcement post. Also stated on the post were some mouthwatering incentives for the Top 5 selected post. The contest saw a lot of quality entries, and I believe everyone gave in their best.
Just like every contest, everyone cannot always go with the star price. Earlier today, I got a notification from my ginabot informing me of my username being mentioned by a [post](https://steemit.com/finance/@dapplovers/announcing-the-winners-of-review-a-finance-dapp-contest-ft-state-of-the-dapps) from @dapplovers. I was super excited when I found my [post](https://steemit.com/stateofthedapps/@dongentle2/top-finance-dapps-of-2019-ethlend) among the selected Top 5 entries. It’s actually my first @dapplovers contest win, and that could be the reason for the excessive joy I felt. 

#### My experience and review
This contest has brought me closer to a lot of finance dapps. It has given me the opportunity to research and learn how some of them operate. Reading through other people’s entry has helped me improve my writing style and also see things from other people’s point of view.

My choice of ETHLEND became necessary because of the real-life application of the platform. ETHLEND makes both parties happy at the end of every deal. Some urgent needs can make people lose their lives or even go into depression. Having a platform that can loan you a means of solving some of these urgent needs is a dream come true. On the other hand, the person funding is not just helping a brother; he is also making a profit from the agreed interest rate. This is the reason I keep saying that ETHLEND is one of those platforms that makes both party happy after a successful deal.
