**WHAT ARE BIRTHDAYS?**
A birthday is the anniversary of the birth of a person.

**ORIGIN OF BIRTHDAYS**
Many of us must be wondering how this birthday celebration came about....
In my research about birthdays,I discovered it was assumed that the Greeks adopted the Egyptian tradition of celebrating the “birth” of a god. They, like many other pagan cultures.
The idea of celebrating our birthday Is a pagan tradition, some christian who knows the origin of birthdays celebration and why they were done don't celebrate birthdays,though it is not forbidden by scriptures....
Because of that link to paganism. Pagans thought that evil spirits lurked on days of major changes, like the day you turn a year older.
In my religion "Christianity" Christians can celebrate birthdays. There is nothing in Scripture that forbids it, nor is there any reason why celebrating birthdays could be considered unwise.
In today's modern traditions, birthdays have solid roots in old Greek and Roman traditions. The Greeks and Romans gave us the tradition of presents, candles, and parties for birthdays,and that's what many nations or country practice today.
**THE ORIGIN OF BIRTHDAY CAKES**
Many of us, including me before my research never knew how all of this buying of cakes for birthday came about....

The Germans would celebrate children's birthdays with cake, calling the celebration Kinderfest. **WHAT DOES BIRTHDAY CAKE SYMBOLIZE**
Traditionally, the person whose birthday it is makes a wish, which is thought to come true if all the candles are extinguished in a single breath. To represent a sharing of joy and a sense of togetherness 
Birthday cake adds more happiness to the occasion, symbolises success and milestones, and makes a perfect gift to warm the heart of the celebrant..
**WHAT ARE THR PURPOSE OF BIRTHDAYS?**
Birthdays are the most special day of everyone's life I guess,but for me it is. Birthdays  Is a day to celebrate how much you love and appreciate someone 

Birthdays are important because they give everyone a day to feel special and see how much those around them love them. Many cultures say that your birthday is more than just a special day of the year,and I agree with that fact...
To be a year older cause for celebration,when we celebrate someone's birthday, we're not only celebrating the length of their life, we are celebrating how much they've grown in the past year.

Birthday wishes are very important. As birthday being more that a special day....
