Mi principal miedo como madre, es fallar en mi rol y seguramente es el principal miedo de muchas, pero qué criterios podemos definir para decir estoy fallando como madre, o estoy fallando como padre?.  Creo que en eso está en juegos muchos factores y algunos se escapan de nuestras manos, a excepción de esos padres que deciden abandonar a sus hijos, pero ese es otro cuento. 

Esto me ha llevado a preguntarme siempre, entonces qué madre quiero ser?, por eso hoy estoy feliz de unirme al desafío de esta semana llamado [The Parent I want to Be ](https://peakd.com/hive-165757/@motherhood/the-parent-i-want-to-be-eng-esp-oror-challenge-of-the-week) y hacer dentro de mí una pequeña reflexión y compartirla con ustedes.

Desde el momento en que me enteré de que en mi vientre, se formaba una vida, siempre he estado pensando en el futuro de mi hijo y como me gustaría que él fuese cuando sea un hombre. Por supuesto que no puedo definir su personalidad, pero sí me gustaría que al llegar a su vida adulta, él tenga ciertos valores, hábitos y herramientas, que hagan que tenga una vida estable y feliz. 

Quiero que Angel sea un hombre, sensato, sencillo, inteligente, generoso, educado, quiero que sea una persona fuerte, decidida, que sea autónomo, que aprenda a respetar las opiniones de los demás, pero que también aprenda a defender sus principios y convicciones. 

Quiero que sea una persona que aprenda a manejar su tiempo y que aproveche cada instante de su vida, que sea trabajador, pero también aventurero, que estudie y que sin importar que decida ser en la vida, que intente dar lo mejor de él en lo que hace. 

Quiero que sea mi mejor amigo en el futuro y si no está cerca de mí, que al menos, siga manifestándome su amor, no solo a mí, también a su padre y al resto de su familia. Y si decide formar una familia propia, que sea el mejor padre y esposo del mundo. 

Quiero que aprenda a valorar su cuerpo y su salud y que llegue a viejito, con una sonrisa cálida en su rostro y cientos de anécdotas divertidas que contarles a sus nietos, si llega a tenerlos. Quiero que aun en su vejez me recuerde con amor!.

Since the moment I found out that a life was forming in my womb, I've always been thinking about my child's future and how I would like him to be when he's a man. Of course I can't define his personality, but I would like him to have certain values, habits and tools when he reaches adulthood, that will make him have a stable and happy life.

I want Angel to be a sensible, simple, intelligent, generous, educated man, I want him to be a strong, determined person, who is autonomous, who learns to respect the opinions of others, but who also learns to defend his principles and convictions.

I want him to be a person who learns to manage his time and who takes advantage of every moment of his life, who is a worker, but also an adventurer, who studies and who, no matter what he decides to be in life, tries to give the best of himself in what he does.

I want him to be my best friend in the future and if he's not near me, at least let him continue to show me his love, not only to me, but also to his father and the rest of his family. And if he decides to form his own family, let him be the best father and husband in the world.

I want him to learn to value his body and his health and that he will grow old, with a warm smile on his face and hundreds of funny anecdotes to tell his grandchildren, if he has any. I want him to remember me with love even in his old age!.

- Quiero ser una madre valiente, que siempre tengas las fuerzas necesarias para luchar por el bienestar de mi hijo. Quiero apoyarlo siempre y ayudarlo a que logré sus metas, seguir brindándole un amor desmedido y que él se sienta amado y afortunado cada día de su vida. 

- Quiero ser una madre paciente, organizada y divertida, que siempre tenga tiempo para él, para jugar, para enseñarle el mundo, para hacer su infancia, la más feliz posible y que él disfrute el tiempo que pasa conmigo. 

- Quiero tener la sabiduría para guiarlo por el camino correcto y quiero tener el carácter necesario para corregirlo a tiempo cada vez que sea necesario, de la forma más adecuada. Ser una madre responsable y crearle hábitos saludables.



- Quiero ser la persona que siempre esté ahí para escucharlo, para abrazarlo y ofrecerle mi hombro cada vez que se sienta triste o necesite de un consejo, que él tenga la confianza de hablar conmigo, incluso en temas que seguramente yo desaprobaría.

- No quiero ser una madre invasiva, quiero ser una madre flexible, pero que al mismo tiempo pueda establecer límites, en pro de su bienestar, quiero ser comprensiva y también determinada, quiero aprender a decir que No, aunque a veces eso me rompa el corazón. 

- Quiero hacer lo que tenga que hacer, para verlo crecer, sano y sobre todo feliz.

Cada mañana me levanto, a dar lo mejor que puedo, con lo que tengo, para ofrecerle a mi hijo, una infancia bonita y feliz, algunos días siento que me falta muchas cosas por mejorar y aprender y cada vez, que mi niño, logra algo nuevo, siento que voy por buen camino. 

Sé que tengo que corregir muchas cosas en mí, para educar con el ejemplo, cada palabra, cada acción de mi parte, estará reflejada en él. El amor que siento por mi hijo es la fuerza que me impulsa adelante cada día de mi vida, muchas veces las cosas se ponen difíciles y siempre hay obstáculos que superar, pero el amor por nuestros hijos hace que todo sea posible. 

Me encanto, unirme a esta iniciativa, es un ejercicio muy bueno, nos hace interiorizar nuestros pensamientos y nos ayuda mucho leer los pensamientos de otros padres, estos desafíos se convierten en una experiencia enriquecedora, que nos ayuda a disfrutar y seguir en este maravilloso mundo de la maternidad.

Every morning I wake up, to give the best I can, with what I have, to offer my son, a beautiful and happy childhood, some days I feel that I lack many things to improve and learn and every time, that my child, achieves something new, I feel that I am on the right track.

I know I have to fix many things in myself, to educate with the example, every word, every action on my part, will be reflected in him. The love I feel for my son is the force that drives me forward every day of my life, many times things get difficult and there are always obstacles to overcome, but the love for our children makes everything possible.

I loved, joining this initiative, it is a very good exercise, it makes us internalize our thoughts and it helps us a lot to read the thoughts of other parents, these challenges become an enriching experience, that helps us enjoy and continue in this wonderful world of motherhood.
