Sunbathing in the Rays of the Apocalypse

It's 90 degrees in late September. Hurricanes are devastating island nations at record levels.* Kim and Don are lobbing angry saber-rattling words as a precursor to either getting into bed or throwing nukes.

It's so hot today, I can't even get a proper exposure with my iPhone off my gleaming white skin...

It is ridiculously hot, fortunately my parents live on Seneca Lake and I live five minutes from them :)  

Didn't it feel like fall was on its way? What happened? Ha, I shouldn't complain, NY winters are too long and I'm not in any hurry for it to begin, but is it me or have you noticed that NY seems to have only two seasons now, with tiny teasers of spring and fall?

I'm guessing its worse in the city, I have family on Long Island and they tell me now is not the time to visit, so I'm heading north to Vermont to visit other family instead :)

It's the same way here in Minnesota, @dougkarr!  It's very strange. We typically have some hot weather at the beginning of fall but nothing like this. The "feels like" temp on Friday was 96 degrees! Saturday and Sunday weren't much better. A chilled rose is a great remedy for it. : )
