When I was first taught how to tie a tie. I fell in love! I took that tie off just to tie it all over again. Years past and I got really good at it, even the girls at school came to me every morning to tie their tie for them, which I willingly did (one step ahead from all the other guys). 

By high school I had way more "girl friends" than guy friends. I guess that tie brought it all together. I was roped up to the neck every break making ties for all my friends. I had discovered that perfect triangle tie shape, that one you only see in movies (fake ties). Nearing the end of high school all the guys were asking me for the secret, did I tell them? NO, I did give a hint, rope them in guys. Every guy I walked past in my grade called me the mac daddy, to this day I still don't understand what they meant. I asked many of them all gave me a different answer.

It wasn't the tying of the tie that helped, it was the fact that I was confident and comfortable while tying the tie that made things easier to chat to girls. Developed my listening skills and I always smelt nice when they gave me a thank you hug.
