Bitcoin Trading Can't Be Stopped - We're Just Gonna Do It Differently If They Ban Us
At least, that seems to be the conclusion I drew after seeing [this report](https://cointelegraph.com/news/china-returns-to-bitcoin-platform-localbitcoins-as-fud-excites-markets) about a sudden surge in the usage of LocalBitcoins, published on CoinTelegraph.

As you can see, the peer to peer exchange platform is now seeing an all time high, and that's because of the latest rumors, about China banning bitcoin exchanges. Localbitcoins is a peer to peer trading platform (like Paxful or Bisq), in which people are exchanging their coins without a traditional exchange. Liquidity is a bit slower and trades are person to person, which may be a downside from a "normal", centralized exchange, but the good news is that trading is not stopping.

As always in the history of human kind, if there's a need for a certain thing, people will find their ways of getting that thing, no matter how harsh the restrictions imposed by central authorities.

Or, in other words: if you ban centralized exchanges, China, we'll trade Bitcoin in a decentralized, peer to peer way. But we'll still trade.

Ofc they cant. The only trouble would be to cash them out to fiat, which is still the main reason of trading as you can not buy much with those currencies yet. But such a ban (if it happened) would only accelerate the trade of tangible assets with crypto currencies i am sure. So might be also a good thing.

These p2p exchanges are where we all should be heading anyway, too much prying and risk of theft on centralised exchanges. 

I just stated using Waves, the exchange isn't very good at the moment but it looks like it could be a winner with more users and an upgrade or two.

I don't think China will ban BTC exchanges! Those are probably rumors and panicians (panic people) will sell and investors are ready for get that BTC and HODL for a long run! After all we should understand BTC is the alpha of all and it has very limited amount of coins in tradings!
