Hash Rush - The Game Of Hash Mining Power (For Real)

The crypto landscape is booming these days with more and more projects, and I'm happy to see that it quickly extended from bare fintech to the gaming area (where I see it actually more fit to create disruption). There are quite a few gaming project (some of which I'm closely watching, in silence for now) and some of which are starting to get traction.

Today it was brought to my attention by @badastroza a new game, called [Hash Rush](https://www.hashrush.com/ico/) (he is actually the marketing guy for the team, so it kinda make sense). The game is based on real hashing power and it rewards with real crypto tokens, like Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and Monero. It does that by using its own proxy token, though, called RushCoin (RC) for which there is currently an [ICO](https://www.hashrush.com/ico/) - which will end on October 20th.

The site is a little bit rough around the edges and the gaming visuals are not quite on par with what you see on an EA game, for instance, but the mere fact that the game is developed is something quite interesting. 

The gaming industry is already using in-game tokens to reward its users for various activities, so the adoption of crypto in this area should be faster and with less friction.

But, as in any other business, it all boils down, in the end, to execution.

I stumbled upon Enthropoa universe and how the games within allow you to earn bitcoin. I saw the screenshots and didn't bother. The graphics are Shit lol.

It's not really clear how what you do in the game world correlates with the real world hash power.  It's an interesting concept but the details seem a bit  up in the air.

Interesting idea, I think strategy genre is suitable for this. 

If the game is fun to play with decent graphics (I like the theme), it will go big.

This will give a "pay to win" whole new meaning :D

I'm not an ICO guy, but I'll keep watching the progress and eventually hop in later, when the game/economy/environment is more developed.

You will be able to mine currencies such a Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and Monero. Your in-game units and structures will correlate with real-world hashing power in the Hash Rush mining farm, and you will have items and collectibles which you can trade on the in-game market. The token, Rush Coin, will also be tradeable on exchanges - although exactly which exchanges is still being worked on.
