A couple of weeks ago I mentioned a new blockchain-based project called [SNAX](https://snax.one), which is basically a rewards platform for social media interactions. 

The main difference between SNAX and other similar projects, like Steemit, HyperSpace (ex-Synereo) or AKASHA, is that SNAX doesn't require you to provide content on a _new_ platform. Instead, it leverages your _existing accounts_. 

In other words, you can continue to post on Twitter, or on Steemit, and you get rewarded for the social influence you have on that network. All the retweets, comments and likes are measured, and an "attention score" is generated. You then get SNAX in your account based on that attention score.

Mind you, the score is not calculated in real-time. There are "scoring rounds" which are taking a "snapshot" of the Twitter state at certain time intervals, and then the score is adjusted accordingly. Tokens are distributed after the scoring rounds.

I'm closely watching the project for almost a month now and I'm happy to tell you that the mainnet launch has been set for April 4th. I'm also happy to announce that I'm joining the project as a block producer, but more on the actual details of my BP account, when the mainnet is launched.

Until then, I compiled a short list of FAQs, from my own experience, from the official FAQ and from the feedback I got at the last article. If you have more questions, please ask them in a comment.

# How Many Social Networks Are Supported?

The initial launch will be on Twitter, then Steemit and Reddit will follow.

# Do I Get Rewards Only On One Network?

No, you get rewards for every account on every network, provided your attention score is relevant enough.

# If I Don't Post On Twitter, I Don't Get Rewards?

Yeap. You're not paid for your mere existence, but for your attention score. 

# There Was An ICO For SNAX?

Nope. Tokens will be distributed in the scoring rounds. On top of the tokens distributed, the team decided to issue 16% of the supply at the launch, to cover their expenses. These funds are on an escrow contract, which prevents the team for abusing them.

# What's The SNAX Supply?

100'000'000'000 SNAX in the 1st stage of the supply emission and no more than 2'000'000'000 SNAX per a year after that (in the 2nd stage).

# Is This SNAX Based On EOS?

Yes, SNAX is a fork of EOS with a few modifications. But most of the EOS tools are working on on SNAX.

# Some Random Thoughts About This

The decoupling of SNAX from the actual social media platform has an interesting consequence: the measured platforms may be take an interest in the token. 

If the rewards are relevant, and if the token takes off, then you'll feel more compelled to produce content on that specific network. Hence, the network itself will be incentivized. 

I can see scenarios in which, for instance, Twitter may buy some amount of SNAX and run some content promotions with them. Or buy ads. Or just invest in them.

Nevertheless, it's an interesting project.
