In a rather slick PR stunt, a Turkish amateur soccer club called Harunustaspor, [announced](https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-soccer-turkey-bitcoin/turkish-soccer-club-completes-first-bitcoin-transfer-in-countrys-history-cnn-turk-idUKKBN1FJ23C?utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&utm_content=5a709d9004d30128c2946981&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter) they finished the first of its kind ever transfer for a 22 year old player called Omer Faruk Kiroglu. The total amount of money involved is not spectacular, around 6-700 EUR, a little bit over half of it being in Bitcoin.

As I said, it's not really a transaction, as it is a PR stunt:

> Club chairman Haldun Sehit declared that the move was the first of its kind by a sports club in Turkey and worldwide. “We did it to make a name for ourselves in the country and the world... We are proud of this,” he was quoted as saying.

I wonder how much that tiny amount of Bitcoin will be worth by the time that 22 year old will retire...
