Clark Kent wears glasses. Superman wears a cape.

Did you ever think about why Clark Kent changed into his superhero uniform before he went to save the world? I mean - the outfit didn't make him fly. The glasses didn't prevent him from being super.

He was the same superdude, no matter what he was wearing - BUT his entire persona changed when he was in one or the other.

He was nerdy, and insecure, and a little bumbling when he was *just Clark Kent*. He was for sure playing a part, but he did it REALLY well.  So well - that no one suspected his true identity.  *(yes, I know it was just a movie. but stick with me for a bit)*

But when "PLEEEEEEEASE, SOMEONE HELP MY BABY!!!!" was heard through the crowd, he didn't immediately spring into action.  He took a split second or two to find that phone booth, strip and change, and THEN - he was Superman.

The struggle has been real lately. I'm not going to bore you with details, lol  cuz it doesn't matter.  It never really matters.  EVERYONE has their own struggles.  Mine are just your average human experience.  But, it has been taking me through the ringer.  Through the freaking ringer, I tell ya.

And I did not want to talk.
I did not want to walk.
I did not want to BE anything.

I just wanted to find my hole, drag the dirt over me, and wait.

And so - I put on my Superman costume.  I have several.  hahaha  But today, I needed to be a Warrior.

And the funny thing is... I didn't feel it at first.  At first, I kinda felt like a phony warrior. haha Kinda like when the little girl puts on mommy's high heels and pearls, and hobbles around the house.  Everyone just kinda smiles at how ridiculous she looks but no one says anything.

That's how I felt.  Like everyone was kinda like... awww how cute.  She thinks she's a warrior.

*P.S.  No one cared that much.  But you know how we get these things in our head. lol*

Didn't matter, life was going to happen today no matter what I was wearing.  It might as well be with my superhero cape.

I ended up driving all around creation and back.  When my hubby heard about my day (when I finally got home) he just ended up kinda laughing/kinda pitying me LOL  Everything that could go wrong - did go wrong. LOL  But really?  It didn't bother me. Honestly.  You know when it's just so bad - that you have to laugh?  That's kinda where I was.  "Bring it on, life. Is that the best you can do??? LOL"

I thought I would get the last of my steps in at the Riverwalk. A nice walk by the river should do the trick, right?

Well, I don't know if you know.  But California is hotter than Hades these days. Fires everywhere. Not a drop of water in sight.  So the Riverwalk was more a dry riverbed walk.

See beyond the trees?  That is usually FILLED with a huge river.  So many people come here to play and swim and canoe... now?  It's literally just sand.  

Still - it was a nice walk.  

I was walking alone, and it was still light out - as you can see.  However, I was alone. And there tend to be a few sketchy people that hang around down there. I didn't feel unsafe, but I was very aware of my surroundings, and constantly assessing people near me - in the distance - who was approaching... all that.

I've never ever been happy with my body.  I am too muscular in places that I'd rather be soft. and too soft in places I'd rather be muscular. When I was younger - I was just too muscular all around hahaha LOL Of course, now I look back on older pictures and think GAHHHHHHHHH why didn't I appreciate THEN?? LOLOL  I know I'm a work in progress - but you know.  Women tend to be hard on themselves.

I had to pass by a few men at different times.  They ended up being very nice, but as I said - you kinda mentally prepare for being on guard and ready.  (@kenechukwu97  - you never know when those red belt killer instincts will come out!!! 😆)  

And right at that moment, I looked down at my shadow.  I don't know why hahaha I just did. And I thought... hmmm now - I may be no match for a full grown man.... but that's a badass chick right there. 🤣 😂

And then I noticed... I was kinda walking like a warrior.
And I felt like a warrior.  

Cuz I am a warrior. ⚔️

I actually finished up my steps today around 7 pm for my #win *(as you can see in the bar graph)*  But... I forgot to take the screenshot until 10:14pm LOL.  No big deal - I'm pretty happy with my day and week for being #actifitaccountable :)  Not about the upvotes.  It's about the victories!

I call that a spontaneous action to feel safe and comfortable while taking such work only to be on the alert of people tossing here and there. I can imagine the hotness of California now through the dryness of river behind the tree in the image, but to be hotter than hades is what I can't place 🤣😂. 
When I saw that Tshirt, I knew a warrior is emerging and that warrior isn't Jack Sparrow, but your humble self, the captain. 

You really have a way with your emotions. Those walks really do help a lot. I would like to have a way through my emotions too, I do have one though, it has to be polished.

yes - i've always had a very strong connection to my mind.  some people prefer to ignore the thoughts and feelings they  have and just deal with what they see.

I think the bigger battle is in our own minds.  So I usually start there. hehehe  walking is a nice way to access those chambers - but driving works, writing works, talking works. hehehehe
